I have a fear of drowning that comes from a close call from earlier in life but that doesn't stop me from going in the water.

Fatal illnesses.
I think I'd prefer a quick, random death then being told that I WILL die and there isn't anything I can do to stop it.

Pain, I'm overly cautious because I hate being in pain.
Spiders, less now than I used to though.
Wax statues and mannequins.
Those old style lifts with the 2 doors and the rickety ughh.
Anything bad happening to my boyfriend too ;-;

Spider and I don't know why I have a phobia of them since I remember I wasn't afraid of them when I was little.

Also, what is with everyone being scared of spiders? What did those little guys ever do to you :(

Because of unholy creatures like this.

Kill it with fire.

Spiders (nothing should have 8 legs, 8 eyes, venomous fangs, and be able to trap you. Spiders are proof we made God angry at one point. We could've had flying horses or unicorns, but he was like, "Nah man, spiders. Spiders are where it's at.")
Wide open spaces. (I just feel completely exposed. No where to run in case God decides to throw spiders at me).

No one for snakes yet?

I'm going with snakes. Nothing natural should move like that...

Any sort of vast, unknowable void. When I watched Code Lyoko as a kid, the thought of falling into the digital sea sent chills down my spine, and Sector 5 always made me uncomfortable (and not just because of the Scyphozoa).

What scares me the most is the curiosity that this kind of thing sparks in me. If given the chance, I'm not sure I could stop myself from jumping into a void like that, just to see what I might find.

I am afraid of the next adam sandler or scary movie...er...movie coming out. :(

Although on a more mortal note, tidal waves or large, sudden bodies of water that you cannot escape from. At least with a slowly rising water level, i can try to build a shite raft or boat out of children's limbs

And ants...fckin ants...so many of them

I have a phobia of being blamed for things that I didn't take part in or that aren't my fault.
Comes from a childhood of being told that everything bad was my fault and taking the "punishment" for it all while others got away with anything. It's pretty crippling these days as I can't really even talk to police naturally and I can't be around others while they're being reckless in fear of becoming the scapegoat again.

Other than that odd one, I'm not scared of much.
And by that I mean I'm scared of everything thanks to an anxiety disorder but none of it effects me much anymore.

What am I really afraid of right now? I'm afraid of US intervention in Syria causing world war 3 with Russia.

Heights. That's the big one that I've been working on lately. Used to be that any height of more then ten feet would just wig me out entirely. I would just freeze up and slowly back away from the ledge. Ladders were completely a no go.
This. I even have trouble using stepladders (you know, the ones that only get you a couple feet off the ground) because they make me feel like my stomach's going to drop out. I admire you for trying to conquer it, sir/madam. I tried - I went up on the Eiffel Tower when I was in Paris - and my grand feat of bravery was getting a picture off the edge. ...With my eyes closed, because I couldn't look at the drop without seizing up. I immediately went back to the center of the tower and shuddered until the rest of my group went back down.

Also blood. Not a huge fear of it, but looking at it, or even thinking about it sometimes, gets me nauseous and dizzy. And yet I've managed to give blood. Mostly because I warn the people there ahead of time, and they cover up as much of the equipment as they can.

I'm just as bad with heights.

I remember this gig I had at a theatre where I had to go up several ladders that were attached to the wall to get to the catwalk. I had to drop mics so that they had to pick up the actors on stage, so I thought I would be okay. Problem was no one told me that it was super hot up there, I had to lean really far over the railing to do it, and the catwalk isn't very stable. I damn near had a panic attack when I felt the thing shift, and I don't really remember how I got down. I do remember shaking for a long while after I got down though.

OT: Spiders, and I mean the really huge fuckers.

I almost didn't buy Skyrim because of it, and I thought that I would slightly get over my fear of them in the game because they weren't real. NOPE! I remember in the very beginning of the game where you run into one I paused the game and didn't touch it again for 30 mins, and I had to psyche myself up for it. It took me way longer to kill it and when I went past the dead thing it twitched out and I wasn't happy.

It's pretty bad when you're in a fetal position, swearing, and acting like a scared little girl over a fake spider. >.>

Ditto. Anything that flies and has a stinger on its rear. The asian giant hornet. It has this look of "I want to kill you and then devour your soul!"

Being hunted with no way to fight back. It's the feeling of having to watch every thing you do, and, even then, there's that chance of being killed. It's not any killing of random chance, like warfare or accidental manslaughter.
Someone is putting their time and effort into finding and killing you, and nothing shall stand in their way. That's why I don't like Amnesia or Slenderman.
But on the topic of Slendy, I dislike things without a face. It's part of that uncanny valley that just creeps me out. Especially things without eyes: they cannot see me, but they know where I am. It's so..."alien" that it scares me.
On that matter, the alien. Things that unnaturally occur, like moving dolls or things that are so unlike any possible human behavior. In all sense, xenophobia in the literal sense of inhuman xenos.

i think they are incredibly fascinating creatures. the way they move is just incredible and certainly not scary and the way they weave such intricate webs is really just unbelievable

what i'm terrified of is.......

ive never really seen an ostrich in real life except at zoos and animal parks etc and im so glad i live in a country where they arent wild but these thing really shit me up, a flightless bird the size of (if not bigger than) a fully grown man that can run at incredible speeds, has incredible powerful legs and wings and has a powerful peck. they are just mean mutherfuckers
