Sonic Blast Man II again. I did another 1CC as Sonia this time. Final score is 660,530.

I did some Street Fighter VI, and bought the Season 2 Full Year Pass, so I can already have all the characters of the season at once. Elena is fun as hell!

Made less progress with Deltarune than I expected/hoped because Zenless Zone Zero released its 2.0 update the day after Deltarune's paid release, and I've been playing a lot of the new content in that as well. I still probably wouldn't recommend it to most people here, but I'm enjoying it (when I'm not being trolled by random equipment stats). New character Yixuan has a lot going on under the hood and she's a blast to play; between multiple parry skills, a few uncommon inputs and the general flow from one move to another, even with the game's limited inputs she's the most "stylish" character I've picked up so far. New story's fairly interesting too, though I'm probably missing a few things because of how deep it dives into traditional Chinese mysticism, though it's at least somewhat interesting from a fictional perspective.

In Deltarune, I've gotten up to Queen's Mansion in Chapter 2, and if I don't end up completely stuck into Zenless again today, I'll probably have Ch2 done tonight. Done the Ch2 secret boss multiple times before, so I doubt I'll have trouble punching him out again either.

Are you finding the early deltarune chapters easier then they used to be? I replayed it a year or two ago and it felt much easier then when it launched.

I think it's more because I'm familiar with them at this point rather than because they were actually made any easier, but then again I haven't played in a while so if something was changed I probably wouldn't notice.

I do think that something about these games is way easier, I replayed Undertale a couple years ago and I hadn't played it since it launched and had a really easy time. Barely needed healing items despite remembering it being rather rough in places.

Resumed my Psychonauts playthrough nine years later and finished it. It was alright.

Also finished Bully after about that long the day before. Worst traits of GTA 5 were already in Bully. Completely linear, never giving you the option to find the solution for yourself. Always holding your hand with objective markers and instructions. Combat is crummy.

Undertale was never an especially difficult game barring about 2 or 3 fights.

Yeah but I recall some of them at least taking some effort. Everything else carries it so hard though, but it did seem really easy the second time I played it.

Beat Selaco on the hardest not stupid difficulty. Still really fun, the bonus level is still kinda tedious, but its a good challenge and gives a lot of weapon parts and the super weapon which is pretty decent, especially after I accidently ruined my hand cannon with a bad upgrade. The upgrade made it hit super hard but it took like half a second to fire and kicked really hard.

Started on episode 4 of Supplice and its already awesome, they added friendly drones that fly after you shooting guns and rockets at enemies. They are kinda dumb and get caught on terrain but in a big fight they are very helpful and as far as I can tell, they can't be destroyed.

Deltarune Chapter 2 finished. In the interest of avoiding spoilers because everyone probably should play Deltarune (after Undertale, naturally), I probably won't be posting again until I've completed Ch3, and then Ch4.

So I’ve played lots of so-called soulslike games, from code vein to Nioh and so on but lies of P feels like I’m playing a bloodborne mod. It has that same vibe of dark 19th century spooky horror atmosphere and a pretty savage combat system that’s a mix of souls and Sekiro but also has a super meter that you do special moves with and your heal items refill the more you attack.

Basically, I’m hooked, and I’ve not even found a gunblade yet.

Muscle memory. You remember the patterns. Sans took me 9 hours to beat the first time I fought him, every couple years I'll feel like replaying the fight and I can reliably do it in under 20 minutes.

I don't think it was just muscle memory, I think the bullet patterns were... lesser, fewer slower bullets and I do not know why.

Oddsparks - An Automation Adventure
been wondering whether to admit to this new addiction for a whiles - not to protect anyone else from falling victim to it, hell no, the more ppl suffer similar debilitations the less lonely this existence gets, fill ya boots! - but now have reached a point where got to build own monorail in the game world. so, like a musician who avoided dying penniless on the streets as their album hits platinum, the social stigma and shame of a long term heroin habit's minimised enough to talk openly without risk of ostracisation - cos hey those songs already nestled in your warm fuzzy memory lobes, what you gonna do, remove them? tear them out like unsolicited leeches? that symbiosis shit's in for the long haul I'm afraid!

wtf was I...ah yeah, the game explains part - You know factory building genre? You know Pikmin genre? And maybe cosy village building-ish genre? Like all those mashed together, with a twee colourful aesthetic and upbeat xylophone soundtrack to ease the soul's default state of existential suicidal panic (oops accidental projection there) - Instead of conveyer belts, you have the various cute lil creatures you can throw at or in anything so they do, uh, stuff with or to it. is rather well tuned for console controller too, thankfully. however is still probably better with K&M i'd imagine, appreciated QOL tinkering nonetheless. the progression loop is kinda easy on the heart, town ppl wanna build, give you goals you go out in world to do, return and they add to your growing portfolio of machinations.

it seems like a single open world where exploration's linked loosely to technology progress, allowing as many vast interwoven spaghettified enterprises across the map as one can handle, seeding emotions from seeing your own growing empire of Byzantine resource extraction routes as you bumble back to the village like the regular exponential thought of "behold! pray witness t' majesty of thine divine arrangements atop ūre cosmic drapery!" (possible projection yet again, fckin sue me) It's whatever the opposite of diminishing returns is. biggerly yields? swole bunce?

anyways, kinda unexpected alright game have not seen even marketed let alone reviewed. don't play it, save yourselves from the void. I know I said I didn't care, but that was before telling everyone to fckin sue me, so now just a tad concerned about covering own ass from legal liability angle than originally planned

I can't find anything that would explain that. There are no notes in the update history about lowering the difficulty. I found one sourceless forum post stating that the game has adaptive difficulty and will lower the difficulty if you die a bunch, but I don't know. There's also hard mode, but that's probably not why you are remembering a difference.

I couldn't either so I have no idea what it could have been since I wasn't dying, but the bullet patterns were just so... lesser then they were originally. It wasn't a fresh install, it was starting an already won game then in game starting over where the game even kinda is like, "are you sure you wanna do this?" I think it had something to do with that, but I haven't been able to find anything about it either. This was in Undertale, I think Deltarune was kinda like this also, but not as noticeable.

I did one more playthrough of Sonic Blast Man II. I did a complete playtrhough with Captain Choyear for the first time. He's the typical mighty glacier grappler dressed in green. He is surprisingly fun to play once you know how to use him. He has damaging choke slam that causes so much damage on enemies and bosses when you land it. I actually only died about three times using him. Choyear is still the hardest of three to use though. I am completely done with the game for now, but willl gladly go back to it whenever I am in the mood.

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion

A delightful romp.
I've been looking for a term to describe the type of game I like lately and it's this. I spent a rainy afternoon on the couch playing this short and stupid and funny and cute game on my ROG while my wife was watching her Netflix. Y'all pro gamers can probably beat this in 2 hours, took me a bit longer 'cause I wanted to find all the collectibles and get the "real" ending.

This game was called an "rpg" but it's just walking around talking to vegetables and doing simple fights. This game is stupid simple, it's almost an anti-game. Which, I dunno, just tickles me. No bullshit, just go around doing quests. It's so dumb and cute and funny and then it's over. Highly recommended if you like video games and also have shit to do.

Been playing cyber knight, made by this tiny studio who are really engage with community and update their game based on feedback like twice a week.

Its XCOM except you do cyberpunk heist. There's a much bigger focus on stealth, althought its rare that you can stay un seen for a full mission, its more about staying one step ahead of the guards, although its possible to recover from being seen by enemy. Almost none of the mission involve killing everyone, its almost always some sort of objective, so things aren't too stale (although there's not quite enough stage and I'm already seeing a lot of repeat layout with minor difference).

Its pretty fun, your character have a lot of skills that you need to use in creative ways to get out of tough spot. It can get pretty intense, had quite a few missions where I just left with my guy having very little health. The game has rough spot/bug here and there, but you can always re try a turn or even restart a mission (plus save at any point mid fight), so its not too bad when you encounter one and it screws you up.

There's not much of a main mission thought, its just about getting more money and making contact, contact can level up, giving you access to better gear and such. The world slowly evolve over time, with some mini story arc happening, that you can interact with but can also turn down.

My main issues is that every time you do a mission you gain reputation, which just means that every subsequent mission will be a bit harder. This is on a ratchet so the game just constantly get harder, so if you finish a mission in a rough spot and don't manage to get a lot of optional loot/objective, you can slowly screw yourself over.
