Right at this moment? Typing this sentence, also browsing The EScapist at random, and listening to music in my student union's 'free common space', The Peanut Gallery. I'm listening to Metric, a band who I've decided to start listening to after getting obsessed by their song 'Black Sheep', as perormed by The Clash At Demonhead, and then hearing someone tell me to listen to more of them and Broken Social Scene.

What I WAS doing:
Finishing up some stuff late at work. Burning some CDs with interactive whiteboard software updates on, and a DVD copy of a TV interview one of our governing board did.
Whilst waiting for said things to burn, playing some retro remakes I found online. Stunt Car Racer remake, very much alpha but shows promise. Railroad Tycoon remake, a definite improvement but only has one map. Mercenary/Damocles/Etc remake, spot on, even though I only ever played the demo wayback. I lost probably 20 minutes into it without realising.
Then I got hungry and thirsty, so whilst the last disc was burning I went to the vending machines. My first bag of crisps for quite a while, and definitely the first McCoys I've had in over a year, plus the first frosty, full 330ml can of coke for ages (the image of IT/AV nerds as greasy potato snack guzzling, caffienated soda swilling lardbags is pretty wide of the mark; I only had that because the toaster bar & juice outlet was shut).
Snarfed and gulped my way through that whilst catching up on the last three ZPs (it's been a busy period) and XPs. Good stuff.
Then briefly checking out the forums.
What I'm doing now:
Writing this.
Shirking-cum-dreading having to go try to set up a portable hearing loop system only ever intended as a temporary measure, as what may be a semipermermanent fixture instead, when I know bugger all about how to do it and the manual channels a particularly pure strain of chinglish and unhelpful terseness. (Our main system is broken and we need to have accessible sound provision, stat, but the room's been in use all. bloody. day.)
What I will be doing:
Getting that done
Visiting the little boys room
Thrapping home on my mowerbike
Food
Maybe a late showing at the cinema as I'm behind on my movies and have a rare open wednesday.

What I'd like to be doing:
All that, with the minimum of fuss and effort ... and like TPM, doing it to the Red Alert soundtrack.
