What are you guys picking up on steam?

Recently I Got

Painkiller: Black Edition ?9.99
Ben There, Dan That & Time Gentlemen Please! ?3.99

and today I decided to get

Rainbow Six 3 Gold Edition ?4.99
Cold Fear ?4.99

I Was surprised to see that Rainbow Six 3 came with an expansion too for free "Athena Sword"

You should get Deus Ex, it's an awesome game for ridiculously cheap.

And outside of steam I'm getting Civ 4, 'cos it's only £5 for the complete edition.

I just bought Plain Sight (a little quirky multiplayer game) and it's decidedly meh.

The original Mass Effect is fairly cheap right now IIRC. One of my favorite games of all time; you can't go wrong with it.

Well the only games I bought off Steam are Mass Effect, Battlefield 2, Beyond Good and Evil, and Killing Floor.

All great games, and I recommend them all.

I usually buy games on disk if I can.

Ahh Koolies, I got my orange box direct off steam it was a fair bit cheaper than the retail box least out here anyways

Nope. The Deus Ex license is currently Eidos/Square Enix Owned, as the original developers are kaput and all that. They're even making a thirds installment (Squeenix/Eidos, that is, not the original devs).

That's upsetting, it looks quite fun. I really want it to be good but even though I know it won't be I'm still going to have to pick it up. Unless there is a free weekend so I can get sick of it without paying.

What I know for sure I'm getting from Steam is the new 2d Worms game. (Worms: Reloaded I think)
It's going to take over my life and I'm going to love it, but it's not out for a while, the Beta just started and I didn't get in. :'(

I own about 60 games on Steam now Digital Distribution is the future, and its so much better and more organized than having disks in my opinion. A lot of gamers just need to warm up to it and see the advantages it brings.

I recently bought Deus Ex and played it for the first time ever, and decided I don't like it. I'm sure it was excellent when it came out but, sorry it has not aged well. I wish people would take off their nostalgia glasses when they say how great something old is... I should have pirated it first to see what it was like. I also recently bought The Longest Journey, but couldn't get it to work on my Windows 7 x64 I played it ages ago though so I know it's a great game and I can play it in the future on a virtual machine running Windows XP, or maybe find some workaround.

SO yeah not had much luck with Steam lately, but that's just the games I'm buying, nothing to do with Steam itself. I love their weekend deals and I love how easy everything is.

Oh I gotta buy Batman: Arkham Asylum soon too. I pirated it a couple of months back and thought it was excellent so I put it in my list of games to add to my collection. Steam had a deal on that about a month ago but I missed it.
