Here goes!

I absolutely love this song and have been listening to the past year not only the last month. The link also has the music video which is also pretty great.

Again, this is a song I have been listening to a lot the past year. I especially love the guitar halfway through and all of the vocals.

A very unusual song, but I absolutely love it.

Yet another soundtrack. I recently caught up with the series which reminded me of how much I liked this song back when I watched it.

Very different from the others, it's not a band I listen to much any more, but I have always liked this song, especially certain verses. I am not sure why it has a Riddick quote on all of the Youtube versions though, as it's not there on the album.

All the rap apparently.

I got through RTJ1 but it didn't stick with me that much. I liked how cartoonishly hardcore it was, but the production left things to be desired.

RTJ 2 on the other hand, grabs me immediately, favourites including:

The production is just so on point and both Mike and Jamie's flows seem to just click better for me.

I've also fallen in love with Illmatic

It holds up remarkably well. Both the production, the lyricism and the flow are solid and appealing.

Then there's also 36 Chambers

Really good, although the production is a bit hit and miss. However, the lyricism and flow are just really fucking good.

There's also Madvillainy, which has some stellar production although the beats are very left field, Control System (which also has a similar barrier to entry) and I'm testing myself out with some drone in the form of Godspeed You! Black Emperor's Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven.

Bit difficult, but it has a Pink Floyd vibe to it. However, I'm not really in the mood to listen to it. It feels a bit heavy in emotion and atmosphere, and not the type I need right now.

Ah I been waiting for a thread like this so I can post this song!

I been liking the new Gundam series of this year so far since it has started off strong and best of all, its has a killer opening song!

It miles better compared to Reconguista in G opening 1 and 2 combined (sure GARNiDELiA song was awesome for Kill La Kill op 2 but her song for Reconguista in G was a mixed bag, a piano intro follow by hard drum is so conflicting and the 2nd op is a poor attempt to recapture the old anime openings!)

The new Protomartyr album, The Agent Intellect, came out and it's great.

The lyrics are just beautiful.

Mostly been going through all my old acid techno and getting back into practice mixing. It's been a long time since I played out at raves & squat parties, but I've been asked to play at a night at a local club and I want to try not to suck.

Lately, I've been rocking out to the soundtrack from Necrodancer. Particularly the Remix.

When I go about in my business in my car recently, I've been listening to Meatloaf.

Yes, I am aware I'm at least a couple years behind on trends.

...Okay, maybe a decade.

...

Okay, FINE, TWO DECADES. LEAVE ME ALONE.

Getting ridiculously excited for the upcoming Deftones album.

And the new Deafheaven album is nuts too. Jesus fucking christ. Deafheaven and Deftones need to do some kind of incredible shoegaze-metal tour, they'd fit pretty well all considered. A guy can dream.

It's every single individual song from the complete Kill La Kill soundtrack mashed up in some way, shape, or form... and I fucking love it! It's really temping just to post all the tracks right now!!
Why not just seven more tracks then, FPLOON?
That's over 30% of that "2-disk" album right there...

Other than that, that's basically what I've been listening to right now...

Well, I've found a lot of stuff that I've liked in the past month. Unfortunately it's a bit too much to put it all here, but let me share some of them with you!

Love this artist for some reason. It's electronic jcore, not sure of what else it specifically is. Here's some of my favorites:

Here's two more songs that's not by them (one's a remix), but is of the same genre so I'll put it here.

Really calming for some reason.

t+pazolite is one of those artists I didn't even know I liked until I heard them, so hey whatever goes I guess.

It's a combination of watching and listening, but I really like this video/song combo
I tend to find new music through good videos, (as above) and also found Gunship's work. They've got a very 80s synth type sound, but I kept listening to their work because the videos were fun to see.
Other than that, it's been a variety of Halestorm and Miracle of Sound. Mostly been catching up on old podcasts, like FistShark or CoOptional. AC/DC, Foreigner, Aerosmith, and the Hotline Miami soundtracks still make appearances in my playlists

I don't find new music too often, nor do I usually pay attention to album releases (except MoS songs, since he's more regular). I just stumble around, find a sound I like, and stick with it.

Awful lot of cool bands that I have never heard the name of being dropped here... I think the last music I listened to on my iPod wasss Mogwai. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHA4A0GvHmo]
