So without getting into anything real deep, what little things do people do that annoy you but probably don't annoy other people as much as it does you?

I'll start off with a couple. First one that comes to mind is typing, I have a friend who I'll tell to type something and when typing he hunts and pecks the keys eyeballing each one to find the right letter - I'm a touch typist and I'm actually confident I could use the Das Keyboard Ultimate (Keyboard that has completely blank keys). Hence it is PAINFUL for me to watch other people type really slow or have trouble finding the right letters. A few times I have actually commandeered the keyboard away from him due to this peeve.

Another one I have, many times I'll be sitting somewhere in public where there are many other people also sitting (movie theater for example) and then someone in my peripheral will stand up and talk to someone else or do something for awhile. This drives me crazy, if everyone else is sitting it bugs the hell out of me that someone off to the side of me is standing and it distracts me from whatever I'm trying to do.

So how about everyone else?

I was guilty of doing that. I always read it as Nameless 'til about a month ago.
Sorry...

OT: At the moment, pretty much everything.
The TV, the bird outside my window that refuses to shut up and that little nagging voice at the back of my head telling me to sleep.

Similar to this, when people think it's Jeda Me This.
Also, people doing things slowly. And the aforementioned typing.

Well, it annoys me when bullies breathe.
They should stop.
But then again, I get annoyed when a lot of people breathe, and very few stop.

Serious now: Ok, my friends who should be mature by now, not being able to spell correctly, and laughing at crude sexual jokes they make, which stopped being funny before they were made.
Kinda makes me want to kill people. I just ignore those friends until they start spelling correctly.

When people tell me to shut up or don't listen to me when I'm talking to them.
Also, I pretty much hate all other motorists.

When people fail to exercise the function of using correct grammar, spelling, punctuation etc. or simply fail to use a spellchecker. On other forums, fine, but here it really annoys me as the standard has been set for people on the Escapist to use grammar and spelling to their fullest extent, yet recently there has been a huge uprising of people who can't even be bothered with capitalization, let alone the aforementioned staples of the language.

Heavy breathing, people who sit around with their jaws slack and their mouths open.

Any and all insertion of text/internet slang or lingo into daily conversation.

Being interrupted.

People who just show up at my door unannounced, almost always ends up being when I'm sleeping or, uh, "In the Middle of Something."

When I have to think of what my pet peeves are and I can't remember them. Gah. It's probably something to do with seagulls.

Pretty much this, Other motorists are Assholes.

Also when people get angry at store employees. Some deserve it but most are trying to do their job and your bitching and moaning is not helping any one. Also I've said it before I'll say it again: Smugness, I can't fucking stand it.

Spelling/Grammar.

In both of the languages I know.

Holy crap do some (way too many) people just refuse to write or speak properly. Especially write; It's normal to relax when speaking, but some people take it too far. It really irks me grinds my gears.
YES! I peruse Craigslist daily for deals (and have found many over the years) but if there's one thing people CANNOT do on there it's spell and use grammar. People can't even spell the brands correctly and it's printed right on the front of it...and it isn't simple typos they are misspellings. A lot of people don't ever feel like capitalizing proper nouns and the beginnings of sentences - I find it much harder to take someone who types as such credibly. While I'm mentioning it my friend also does something grammatically that's really annoying - he never hits space after putting a period at the end of a sentence. It makes everything look so clustered!

I'm so peeved by incorrect usage of English I think I should become an English teacher sometimes...

People who are convinced of their own superiority and cannot be swayed in their view that they are the greatest at everything they do.

*People who are so buried in their own mental basement that they're not able to take the advice of, or listen to anything a fellow human has to say.

*People who listen to music publically (and they do it in the café I work at, argh!)

*People who chew their food with their mouths open

I'm a grumpy old teenager

I have a lot of pet peeves.

If you want a semi accurate assumption of them, List every existing pet peeve. Except myself, and my family

Interestingly, something similar regularily happens with my real last name.
People always insert an extra E in it, even when I spell it to them.
