What are your wishes for Fallout 4?

That it won't ever exist. Barring that, that it keeps the perspective of Fo1 and 2; overhead view. I really don't want to play Fallout in first person view. Interesting locations, intriguing characters and politics, a main quest that feels important, more weapons (obviously), human relations, and a bit of romance. There's a lot of potential for touching human interaction in the setting.

Not getting so many skill points you can max everything out.

Make some of the stats actually do something instead of having the only noticeable differences be having either 1 or 10.

Don't rain ammo from the skies.

A little more variety in the encounters. Fighting super mutants is kind of boring after the 800,000th time.

...Made by a zombified Black Isle? Fallout 3 was a good reimagination of Oblivion, but not a successor to Fallout 2.
Thats because Fallout 2 is a very old game , a modern sequel that did the same thing would be shunned for not being that great.

Have it/ it's DLC set in NYC, full of fallen buildings, creating a gaint maze, full with illegal tourists (even after USA closed it's borders, people still wanted to go visit the big apple), and have a mission where you need to climb the statue of liberty (or the twin towers, fallout has a diffrent time line than ours, maybe they were still up) while a mini boss chaces you up.

I want more quests and voice actors. And maybe a game set in Chicago. And have unique weapons with unique art styles. So a special assult rifle doesn't look exactly like a normal one.
That is all

EDIT: Sorry Max, quoted you on accident instead of someone else

The ability to kill children.

Not because I actively want to kill children per se, but I went on a mad shooting spree while in a bad mood in Megaton and Simm's son was just wandering around afterward. It was... bizarrely
depressing.

More dialogue options.

The ability to actually have a love interest. It's not a game-maker for me, but for example there's that woman in Rivet City who wants you to buy her a drink, and several other flirtatious females (presumably flirtatious males too if you play a girl). But it doesn't go anywhere. At all. Just the same conversations over and over.
There are mods for the PC version that lets you kill children and seduce women.

A more interesting game. Bethesda doesn't seem to have the right formula to make a game interesting to me, so it's unlikely that I'll buy it, except if it starts to lean more towards Mass Effect, which I found a much more compelling game.
This is what I was going to say.
I love Mass Effect, even though it's a little too linear for me.

Also, the gunplay in Fallout 3 sucked.
Hard.
Punching people in slow mo with giant Godhand fists was fun though.

Okay, but that doesn't fix the whole "Gunplay sucking" thing.
And why would anyone want to seduce someone who's covered in dirt and grime anyway?
Ick.

Also, 3rd person perspective sucks awfully in F3.

Yeah, sorry about that, I quoted you on accident instead of another guy.

Better dialogue. The best way to improve Fallout would be with better dialogue.

Also, a larger variety of creatures in the wasteland and more interactions between them. It would be interesting to have some creatures flee from combat, avoid you, or try and kill other more threatening creatures instead. As it stands now, most creatures just charge at you no matter what other enemies may be present. They seem to gang up on you.

1. Larger world.
2. New toys to play with.
3. You don't die at the end of the damn main story line.
4. Dogmeat being able to rip anything to pieces not just those raiders
that you find him fighting.

-More side quests would be nice.
-Weapon attachments. Nothing major, just a new type of loot to add variety to the gameplay.
-RPing would be a lot better if I wasn't constantly reminded my character was a 19 year-old. Seriously, leave the character background to the imagination.
-Iron sight aiming.
-More possible houses.
-THE ABILITY TO ACTUALLY JOIN FACTIONS.

Be turned into a super mutant if you stay in radiation too long.
That's not how you become a super mutant but, yeah. I want the ability to turn into a ghoul/supermutant.

Dude, you were out looking for your daddy.
If you were any older, it would just be sad.
I also meant a more openended character background. I'll edit my post.

Quoted for truth!

God damn bethesda and their gods-damned desire to make everything in the world into 1st person action-rpg'ness...

Fallout was and always should have been a top down experience, and don't tell me that in this day and age there is NO WAY a development company cannot make a top down isometric game look and feel as beautiful and immersive as a 1st person title.. There has to be ways to remain faithful to the original 2 games without messing everything up and still make it appealing to new players as well as us old hacks who are in love with the originals..
