I saw soem people talking about Yahtzee, so I checked out his YouTube vids and his video about the Escapist. I can't remember signing up, but obviously I did.
I'm glad I did, I've met some of the best people ever on here.

I remember the day vividly.

The escapist was in turmoil, millions were dying everyday, it was terrible.

I watched from the heavens, unable to help my children, the rights of my summoning had not been completed.

When suddenly, a lone poster cried out in desperation, 'Daystar! Save us!'.

And then it was so.

I descended from the heavens, bathed in etheral light, and saved you all.

You're welcome.
Well, you didn't save us all.
You shot my Speckled Jim, for example.

OT: I was linked here, I stayed.
I regret something but not sure what.
Stupid pidgeon had it coming.

I'm sitting here, stuck in a trench for six months and the pidgeon can just bail on us? No fucking way.

Zero punctuation, been watching it since the youtube videos, but I didn't create an account on the escapist until much later and I also watched extra credits a lot. I read the forums a lot, but don't post that much because by the time I have they are usually almost a dead thread.

Just switch out "much later" for "now".

I was linked to a thread about the Sydney funnel web spider...and it was hilarious, after a few weeks of lurking I decided to create an account to post my opinion on things and then...well, I've been here pretty much everyday since!

Alas, after searching for a little while I found the very thread! I'm not sure if this is against the rules, but it's more than worth a read!

I used to be addicted to X-Play and they used to play little minute sneak peaks of the new ZP episodes. After a few weeks of watching it I finally gave in and visited the escapist after the oblivion review and I came to love ZP and loathe X-Play for various reasons. After awhile I discovered the forums and I joined out of curiosity but never posted until November of 2010 and many posts later and here I am.

A friend, because I like ponies.

Otherwise it's very well possible I knew ZP before that, but never stood still that it might have been a fun site.

It was a few years ago that a friend showed me Zero Punctuation's review of Halo: Reach. After coming here every day I eventually made an account.

My friend linked me to a review by Yahtzee, and I kept watching his videos every Wednesday. When March Madness came up,i wanted to vote, so I made an account, and since TODAY I've started posting on forums. Yes,I'm new. Don't gang up on me!

It was a particular episode of Zero Punctuation. I'd been watching it on and off but the inFamous vs Prototype episode made me sign up here. I'll never forget how I laughed at that 'emo Peter Pan' line.

This one is amused by the sheer number of "Zero Punctuation was my gateway drug" responses.

....So anyway, Zero Punctuation was my gateway drug.

I was sitting in the college computer lab one day discussing the value of good female characters with some friends I was trying to make a game with. So I Googled "female characters in games" or something similar. Extra Credits came up. Within a day, I'd watched every single one of their videos (that was late 2010 or early 2011). I found Yahtzee a few days later and didn't like him at first, but I warmed up to him.

Then Extra Credits left the Escapist, and I stopped posting for the most part and spend more time on Extra Credits' new site. I do occasionally drop by for Yahtzee and Jim and just recently, Moviebob for his Hunger Games review. Sometimes there are interesting threads too.

So the order of stuff I came here for:

1. Extra Credits (75%)
2. Zero Punctuation (10%)
3. Jimquisition (10%)
4. Other (5%)

I was on TV Tropes reading the page on SSBB for some reason and I got to the page for the trope "Marth Deduted In Smash Bros." and the page quote was
Yahtzee said:
Who the fuck is Marth, and why is unlocking him considered a reward?
I then looked up Zero Punctuation and found the Mincraft review on YouTube. After that I came to The Escapist to watch more and I've been here since.
