So I'm flippin through the channels and I go through MTV and see some of the worst television I've ever seen. Occasionally, I come back to it to see how its progressing, some shows like "True Life" and "Jersey Shore". And I think that if my kids or anyone elses sees this crap they put on TV, it will turn kids into raving douchebags. Plus who cares do know what its like to be a Staton island girl, or a jersey asshole. I don't think the shows accurately portray people from there obviously, Hell I think the people from there who watch the show think thats not what they are like.

So what stuff on TV do you think should never exist/

Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? - Fucking hate that show.
Moreover, shows that deal with the daily lives of celebrities make me rage.

Faux Noise.

...

*Fox News.

They distort and ignore reality so often, it irks me beyond compare.

I would probably say any show that follows the life of rich young teens or the rich lives of famous peoples children.

And inb4 Faux News.

There are FAR worse news stations out there.
MSNBC and CNN for example.
In fact i would argue that most news stations twist the news to fit their agenda.
that's reality.

Edit:Looks like iv been Ninja'd

GO! a digital channel in Australia has recently had an advertisement for all it's "hot new shows" the only way I can pick the difference between shows is whether it's a: Roman, American College or Undead (a.k.a. vampiric) breast being scarcely concealed.
Short answer anything mistaking sex for maturity

Any reality show that has nothing to do with reality and just shows attention whores, whoring themselves and getting absurd amounts of attention and fame for doing nothing.

Just about anything on Spike TV. Don't even get me started on their "videogame awards." It seems like the channel is there to cater to the lowest level of male intelligence.

Of course there's plenty of even worse channels like MTV, CNN and MSNBC.

Then again even channels that used to be great just keep getting worse. Namely G4 (we all know why) and the SciFi channel. SciFi used to be awesome with shows like Mystery Science Theater 3000, Kolchack, The Twilight Zone and many others. Now almost every other show has to do with "ghost" hunting which usually just entails a bunch of dumb-asses wandering around an abandoned building looking for glowing balls, horrible SciFi original "movies" like "Frankenfish," fake wrestling every night and now they've finally hit a new low by adding a reality show about some boring lady who'se supposed to be a psychic. Ugh. Oh but I'm sorry, it's not "SciFi" anymore, it's "SyFy," because poor literacy is "kewl." Really nothing could make me happier then having the network just show reruns of classic SciFi series all day like classic Doctor Who, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, really anything other then the garbage they have now. But in the end really all they care about is ratings so they'll continuously fill up the channel with bollox reality shows because people are so obsessed with them that they'd rather watch some other idiot get payed to be filmed then live their own life.

Really I think that's it above all else; reality television. Just about every channel has them now but they're all completely vapid and pointless and I'm sick of them.

Hannah Montanna?

Or maybe that Jonas Brothers show they were airing a while back.

I'd say the entire Disney Channel catalogue if not for Phenias and Ferb.

I couldn't have put it better myself. That network makes me ashamed to be a man.

I would say fox as a whole.

Consider you do have fox news, which is problematic, but most people understand and ignore their spin doctoring.

However, beyond that, look at the fox "reality" drive of the last decade. They were arguably pushing reality tv harder than any other network.

Couple that with spawning abominations like American Idol.

Also consider that it is usually mostly fox affiliates that were airing springer.

Also consider the cruelty factor, in how they would make a show that some people like, then take it away, such as family guy, futurama, firefly, ect ad nauseum, then replace it with some sort of reality garbage. It is almost like they were trying to bait and switch people and dupe them into accepting reality tv.

There really does feel like an actual effort being made by fox to teach people to accept what they want them to accept. Look at their "good" shows like House or Simpson, that started off appealing to one certain crowd then de evolved into formulaic and predictable drivel.

So yeah, fox, for using their programing as a vehicle to indoctrinate the masses to agree with them lowering the bar for entertainment.

Yeah, I would definitely peg Fox News as being a negative influence to people young and old. The television show I find most disturbing on that particular network would have to be "The Glenn Beck Program". Quite honestly, the man rambles on and on about nothing in particular, all the while exhibiting his pompous attitude with items like his silly chalkboard. One of my personal favourites is when he stuck a pipe in his mouth to pretend to be a particular liberal who supposedly "hates America". I would be more amused with this guy and his attempts to be taken seriously if they did not appear genuine to such a large population of Americans. If he only appealed to some Fringe group, then I would be content, however, millions of people agree with what he is saying and, in my mind, that makes him incredibly dangerous.
