Similar to @Worgen 's topic, "share some good music", what are some great cover songs you would share?

There are some great songs by great artists that get picked up by other great artists that do their own rendition of that song.

Sometimes the differences can be substantial. Example, this:

Your covers that you would share? Before and after appreciated.

The Cramps version of Heartbreak Hotel is pretty great.

Not gonna blow anyones minds, but heres a few I like

Transfixions Korean Rock cover of "somewhere over the rainbow" for the "Save the green planet!" soundtrack. Really recommend seeking out this movie. Its pretty insane. Its about a crazy Dude that kidnaps his boss because he thinks the guy might be an alien...and he might be right.

I like all those trashy "punk goes" collections

Julien Bakers cover of Modern Leper (RIP FR)

The way way back - going away to college (cover)

Me First and the Gimme Gimmes - Nothing Compares 2 You

I think this is probably my favorite one of all time. Pretty depressing though. This is one of those rare times where I dont even like the original. The cover is worlds more..

Toadies - Someone Great (LCD Soundsystem Live Cover)

Like A Version is a goldmine for covers.

Theres a 191 video playlist on the Triple J Youtube channel, plus the accompanying original songs they play on the same day.
Outside of that tho.

Probably one of my favorite individual covers, that I personally think is better than the original.

This is the cover by Love Spit Love

Also, anything by Brass Against the Machine is a fucking awesome cover.

This is probably my favorite individual song. Though seriously, any of their covers are awesome

@gorfias I thought I did a covers topic awhile back too that didn't take off, oh well.

I got me some listening to do! Sorry I didn't recall your earlier thread. Looks like we got some submissions now.

I really wouldn't have expected to like this cover of what I consider to be one of the anthems of my youth, but when I heard this on the trailer for The Evil Within 2, I was honestly kind of floored.

Sorry for the double post. Got errors when I tried to add to previous.

Added Ordinary World to my Spotify list. Thanks! Hadn't thought of that one. And I have to play the Evil Within 2 sometime. I hear it is much better than 1.
