Being only slightly more serious, we have always been a nation dominated by the sea, and modern summer is no exception. Surfing at places like Sennen, Croyd or Newquay. Sailing - shitloads of sailing - all along the coast. Rowing, canoeing and kayaking on the rivers.
Strawberry picking's a good one too. And village fairs; man, do those villages love them some fairs. Music festivals have been mentioned, but what about beer festivals, hmm?
Other than that, I guess enjoying the countryside. Honestly, I think there a few places in the world more pleasant than rolling green English hills or woodland, or strolling rivers and canals, when the sun finally pushes past 25C.
Unless, of course, like me and apparently Daystar you spend several weeks of it getting ruined on hayfever.
