Since I've made many threads (some have NEVER been posted on) I've been wondering how do I make people see the thread and post in it if I'm not allowed to "bump" it these forum boards go fast and I need help from people who know about my problems (well people who have had similar experiences) so yeah, if I'm not allowed to "bump" topics, how do I get people's attention or "renew" the topic?

If no one responded it probably means there's no one who wishes to input more, so you might just be screwed here.
Maybe you could try PMing some people you know and see if they can stir up some help, but that's about it that I can think of.

The off-topic forum moves pretty quickly. If it's advice you need try posting in the Advice forum, since the posts there seem to stick around for a bit longer.

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Literally. There is server-side caching going on, that's why the forum looks the if you refresh quickly several times in a row. In reality, everything is working as intended and people are still able to see and post in all the threads, it just takes a bit to reflect the changes (which includes post count and new threads). That's also why it seems like the thread doesn't appear, although it does, you just have to wait a few minutes, probably around 5 or so, depending on when you created the thread. Also, since there are a lot of posts going on, you may be "unlucky" and the thread appears straight on page 2 when the cache expires.

That's most probably why it would seem your thread disappeared. Unless it did for reals, in which case, your best bet would be to contact the tech team [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Tech-Team].

See, if you want to guarantee that you get seen, you need to have some sort of sensationalist thread title, meant to rile up the emotions of the people who read it. Then, in the OP of the thread, make a whole ton of unfounded accusations about one thing or another, with absolutely no backing evidence, but stubbornly refuse to accept any sort of logical opposition.[footnote]Disclaimer: This isn't guaranteed to get the reaction you're actually hoping for from people.[/footnote]

To actually be productive, sometimes people just don't notice or feel like commenting on things. Sometimes the users you're looking for aren't on the website when you're looking for advice. But an interesting title is the quickest and easiest way of grabbing people's attentions.
