I've been listening to Fleet Foxes recently - I'd really like to hear your thoughts about what they meant by the lyrics in the song "White Winter Hymnal" because I can't work it out. It's either some really dark memories, a metaphor for something, or it's not meant to mean anything. Does anyone have any thoughts on what it could mean / the inspiration for the lyrics in this song? This is the entirety of the lyrics.
I was following the pack
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries in the summertime
I was following the pack
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries in the summertime
