There have been a couple of threads recently about 'what do we dislike about America'
'what do we dislike about England' etc.

well why can't we say what we adore about these places?
Let's not be so negative towards each other
I think the Escapists population is predominantly British, American, Australian, Canadian or Scandinavian
so pick one of those and say what you love about them
preferably not your own, but hey, why not if you want to

Personally I love Britain for it's comedy, finding new, original and ingenius ways to make me laugh over and over again

America for its incredible input in the film industry, making me laugh, cry and hide behind the sofa since seemingly forever

Australia for the friendliest can't-do-enough-for-you bunch of people I've ever had the fortune to meet

Canada for it's stunning natural beauty and it's relaxed, laid back approach to life

and Scandinavia (sorry for bunching you in together but to do it individually would take a fair while longer) for the great musicians they've produced over the years but more importantly their great cuisine. As a meat lover myself (easy boys not in that way) i'm not sure i'd want to live in a world without your culinary influence

your turn Escapists

I like Americans because...

Well, because despite every negative stereotype I have seen, all the Americans I have had the good fortune to meet have been intelligent, pleasant people. And that is a wonderful thing. :)

I approve of this thread. Though my approval doesn't mean shit still.

OT: -I love British comedy(Who the hell doesn't) Also wouldn't mind bringing Tea back(As a regular thing) to America.
-Australia because they live in the future(Inside joke)
-Canada because despite sending us a couple of bad "Artist" They do have many great musicians.
-America because its my home, and I wouldn't want to be any place else.

I like America because, well I'm from America. As much flack as we get (mostly from ourselves) I enjoy living here and couldn't picture myself living anywhere else.

I like Britain because I love the British style of humor, plus they gave us some of the greatest actors.

I like Australia because, from what I hear it's got an extremely agreeable climate, and great food.

Canada, also has great food and a drinking age of 18, plus me and my friends still need to to organize a "bro trip" there.

Scandanavia- I don't know much about Scandanavia. Apart from being related to a few people of that ancestry... who... also make good food. (seems to be a theme with me)

I like China for the amazing food.

I give you a thumb up for this thread! I was thinking about making one myself due to the whole hate against America and England threads. I mean what next? Why do we hate Japan, Italy or New Zealand??? (Don't you dare make these threads next!!!)
Anyway onto the OP

I like America for some of the TV shows, films and the warmer weather.

I like the UK for the lack of earthquake and the British humour.

America: Bourbon, id software.
Australia: Beaches, large rear wheel drive saloons that can turn corners.
Britain: Humour, actual acting skill.
Canada: Canadians, not being Americans.

Drinking age is 19 up here bud. :)
Lets see, I like Britain because my best friend is British, I like crumpets, curly wurlys, and Monty Python.
America for Bethesda softworks, California oranges, hollywood movies and Arizona Iced tea.
Australia for Crocodile Dundee, Steve Irwin and just the accent in general. It's awesome.
New Zealand for Flight of the Conchords.
Canada because I live there, beer, Rush, Hockey, nice people, free healthcare, rich culture, we get to call our dollar the loonie and the two dollar the toonie.

I love America for all the bands, and all the great t.v. coming out of there.

I love canada for even more bands, and Dinosaur comics, and maple syrup.

I love Britain for the only good sitcoms on the planet, and Rare, who produced half of my favourite games on the N64. Bless you sods!
