Let me see if I get what you are saying.

You are willing to assert that if someone does not like you because your personality, the fundamantal expression of who you are as presented to the world, they are somehow being unfair? I could understand if someone based their dissaproval on something less important like looks or console preference.

I'll be blunt - if I don't like somebody's personality their other qualities are going to have to do a hell of a lot of work to make up the difference. I suppose it makes me shallow because I am not gifted with the capacity to peer into the very soul of a person in order to divine who they truly are and instead make my judgements based upon how they interact with the world. Truth be told, I'm fine with that.

"Nerd" is not really a personality.
It's just a label, a stereotype.
Personality is mote complex.
If I had to summarize it in one sentence it would be "The things you think, say and do and the reasons behind it" (although there's more to it than that).
It's not closed minded or ignorant if you don't like someone for their thoughts, words and actions.
I would say it's quite logical.
