I recently started cycling again, aiming to go out every day. I went out after school yesterday, since it was such a lovely day. Did a few laps of the promenade near my house, and I felt fantastic after. Perfect start to the Easter Holidays.

So, Escapists, I ask you. What do you do for exercise? How often? Do you do anything at all?

Ha. Exercise. What a strange idea.

I run occasionally, but it's not really a regular thing so much as a 'I'm stressed and need to burn off some energy' thing. That's it, really

I walk pretty much everywhere within a 4 block radius. And out here in the sticks, blocks can be huge.

As far as actual, for-the-benefit exercise, uhm... none?

I have a barbell which I use for a variety of exercises, 2 times a week, more if I feel like it. I found exercises for almost every main muscle using only my body, dumbbells, and the barbell. And walking every day to school which is 2 miles away from me, so I walk 4 miles a day.

Ride my bike 10Km every day (6 and a quarter miles) and take my dogs for a hour long walk every day.

I go to the gym twice a week usually, hit any available machines or just do my own thing. I physically cant get muscle bound, so I just do it to stay fit and build some more stamina. And if im still in the mood an d have the energy, might run a few laps of the park right behind my house or do some basic weight workouts at home. Being fit is awesome *wink+thumbs up*

I like to hit the gym at least 4 times a week, focusing on at least 7 muscle groups. I tend to combine abs and chest, biceps and shoulders, back and triceps and a session devoted to legs.
Though depending on how I feel on any of those days I may splice in a traps or core to those groups.

As a Diabetic exercise or rather the LACK OF exercise seems to be detrimental to the control of my blood sugar. I have been injured this week due to a thigh injury, and my blood sugars have been haywire but when I'm regularly exercising there's no problems whatsoever.

Anyway, back to the questions, I play Gaelic football, hurling and soccer (even though I hate calling it that). I always get injured in the latter even though the first two are the most rough...go figure.

Currently, I run twice a week - once on a Saturday morning and then again on a Wednesday evening. I'm only doing a few miles at a time, but 10-20 minutes on hills is good, even if it is the streets.

I also play cricket - we're in the pre season training, which is 2 hours a week on a Sunday evening. That's about 90 minutes of bowling and 30 of batting, which certainly burns those calories. In the summer, when it kicks off properly, I'll be playing in the field for 3-4 hours, which involves a few stints of bowling, some running around and a lot of stamina, particularly in the sun. When it comes to batting, I am one of, if not the fastest guy on the team over 22 yards, so quick singles are abound. My batting has come on, so I might just have a chance to make an impact this year.

When I can get my old bedroom clear, I might just start on the old weights again - just curls and a little shoulder press, to keep the muscles in shape and balance - the bowling is building up my right shoulder, but not my left. Still, I feel good about myself at the moment.

Treadmill, situps, going to the park on Sundays to hang out with friends who practice fire spinning, poi, etc. It's a surprisingly effective workout and I always suffer the following day.

I train in Boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and MMA Classes. I also go to the gym 1-3 times a week (I have pretty much no life outside of work and training).

Boxing involves a good long (about 4km) run to warm up, and on Fridays we also do 300m sprints. If I'm lucky, I'll also get to do some sparring.

I usually go to the gym on Sundays, which I mainly focus on bench presses and squats. When I put the weight away after finishing my final rep on the squats, it feels SO good.

I've got good endurance and cardio, but my anaerobic strength is pitiful. I'm a 5'11", 145lb skeleton twig-thing.

Abdominal routines every day, weightlifting routines every other day, and running on the days in-between. The only day I don't get sweat dripping is Sunday, which I need to let my legs heal.

I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike
I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride it were I like.

I cycle a lot, I'll actually have to cut down, because my hands are all blistered and my... err... derriere is pretty much broken. (also the cycle lanes in Belfast are death traps.) I also walk a mile or so to lectures when I have class.

I go for walks just about every day.

In addition I play StepMania on a mat about once every two weeks. Great fun, and exhausting.
