Lack of customisable controls (R2 is not a shoot button ************, why must you torture me so!)

Non regenerating health in singleplayer games, especially open worlds (I won't explore if I only 1% health)

Enemies that don't react to bullets until they die, and then they go flying backwards (Oops, I just caught sudden death syndrome)

Bad animations pre-scripted animations, just use ragdoll if you can't program good ones. (MW2)

Turret style movement controls. Seriously, how do people play RE4 like that?

Platforming puzzles in First Person. I'm looking at you, Metroid Prime.

Loading screens that bounce back and forth instead of go from 1% to 100%.

-Regenerating Health.

-Games with escort missions where the character you've been protecting dies in the next scene (even worse when it is from a random mook)

-Game Inconsistency (I.E you can survive getting sliced multiple times by a sword bigger than you but a small row of small spikes kills you in one shot)

-Bad AI

-Terrible Combat

-People who kick you off an online match for no reason (Although this has nothing to do with the game itself)

-Anticlimax Bosses

-Immature Children on microphones (Once again, has nothing to do with the game itself)

The list goes on..

Regenerating health in games that shouldn't have it (looking at YOU Call of Duty/Mass Effect 2/Bad Company 2)
For Bad Company 2, play hardcore. No regen for serious wounds except with a health kit.
(Serious wounds = see blood on screen, not just red around the edges).

Yeah, I prefer my busty women to have high IQ and brilliant dialogue.

Where do I start? Let the ranting begin...
-Infinitely respawning enemies
-Forced stealth
-Linearity, or arbitrary multiple paths that lead nowhere but death
-Not enough checkpoints, or levels that are just too long to be practical in RL
-Quick-time events of ANY description (Press X to skip the fucking talk, dipshits)
-Enemies that always break your stealth by randomly yelling "HEY, THATS HIM!!!" if you close to within a fifty-mile radius
-Enemies that can pick you off with a pistol from the same distance
-Friendly NPCs that waste ammo, run headlong into a wall of lead, break stealth, get stuck, or fire at walls because they've targeted someone behind a building.
-Developers that refuse to acknowledge that elements of their beloved game are over-powered and need adjusting

All I can think of for now, but I'm sure it can be added to.
Only one thing that I can add is multiplayer noobs

- QTEs. All of them.
- Respawning enemies.
- Grinding.
- Bad controls.
- Friendly NPCs and their inevitably terrible AI.
- Bad storyline, dialogue and characters.
- The uncanny valley.
- Military themed FPSs. Especially when set in WWII.
- The... people who inhabit multiplayer games.

I could go on all day.

That one stealth mission in an otherwise non-stealth game;
When you have to prevent something from happening during a mission but then it happens 2 seconds later in a cutscene;
Stupid, annoying characters you can't kill (or just punch in the face);
Bad console ports to the PC (I'm looking at you Rockstar North);
Lousy games accompanying big blockbuster movies;
Insufficiency of strong female characters;
.
.
.
.
Also quicktime events.

Games that are "padded" (mostly thinking rpg here) with traipsing back and forth across the map over and over (looking at you stalker) or repetative side missions that feel more like work (*cough* mass effect *cough*).

Games that go "what, you didn't think to take your pocket knife, carve the lump of wood into a stake and stab it through the middle of his left arm? that should be OBVIOUS!"

levels that are designed as OBVIOUS obstacle courses and have no resemblance to real streets/buildings.

and most of all
AUTOADJUSTING DIFFICULTY!!! graaaaaaaaaaaaah. Half the fun of games is coming back with the big gun/ship and kicking the ass of the guys who kicked your ass early on. Not staying on a treadmill so that the same guys can kick your ass no matter what you do.

Kids under 17 who play M-Rated games.
Hey, I am most definitely not an under 17 who plays M rated games, because that would be most definitely illegal. However if I were, I would be offended because I am generally polite, more so than over 17's who play M rated games, like myself.

Does that mean that not all females are actually like that!? Shocking.

In all seriousness though:
Excessive fan service (Bayonetta, I'm looking at you. Although that's ironically exactly what the developers wanted /bad joke)
Game or level breaking glitches (Fable 2 glitched when recruiting the last hero. Sold the game because I couldn't be bothered playing to that point again.
Unpausable cutscenes. Especially in games when cutscenes are really long.
Unskippable cutscenes.
Annoying voice actors

Space flight sims in which ships have no FTL capabilities whatsoever, thus are all hopelessly dependent on jump gates for interstellar travel, or worse - as in Tachyon: The Fringe, as I found out yesterday - for interplanetary travel!

Games that don't show a health bar or number. I don't want to have to guess at my remaining health before running into the open.
Cut scenes between a boss fight and a checkpoint. So that when the boss kills you, you get to watch the scene over and over again.
Targeting that can switch between enemies, like between a boss and his minions.
Really hate enemies that level with you. I want to be able to smack around the weak things on level 1 when they appear in mass on level 10.

Whiny, bitchy online gamers with a ridiculously skewed sense of entitlement and who use anonymity as a cover to being a complete ass.

(I think I'm becoming a grumpy old man.)

Unskippable cutscenes. Unless they offer the feel and scale of God Of War III, I am not interested.
