What do you like to do in Minecraft?

I was basically kinda done with Minecraft after I did a solo project of mine. Which was to build an Emerald house.

I created a vertical wheat farm and expanded a village so I could trade with them. There were also a number of other resources I farmed a bunch of like wool.

I would routinely 'cull' villagers if they didn't offer trades I wanted.

Eventually I built a house out of emerald blocks. It wasn't that big, it was a simple thing with two floors. Though I had this piston powered diamond block door. I also built a flashing disco light floor... and the circuitry for that ended up being bigger than the house itself.

Kinda just... got it out of my system after that.

But generally I'd set myself these weird goals and just kinda have fun working towards them.

Never really played Minecraft, but I played quite a bit of Terraria. That kind of counts, I guess.

Like many here, I liked building stuff. Like a giant (tho sadly non-functional) windmill, or a floating Chinese palace, or Bowser's Castle, or a treehouse that went all the way to space. Aside from those, I had fun using block as the pixels to recreate game sprites. Made myself a Sonic, Mario, Luigi and various Final Fantasy sprites. Also, that one time I created a bunch of lava farms in an attempt to turn the entire map into a game of "the floor is lava!".

This is gonna sound quite sad but I spend a lot of my time in Minecraft building Bronze Age style settlements - everything from small farmsteads consisting of a single roundhouse up to huge hillforts encircled by wooden palisades and ring-ditches.

Dig. I like to dig. I cannot state how much joy creating deep, sprawling underground tunnels that would make the dwarves of Moria blush brings me joy. The thing is, when it comes to building stuff in Minecraft? I suck at it. My brain doesn't do complex 3D building that well, so what I do is that I dig a massive, underground complex and try to make it livable. It makes me happy. And the random, sprawling nature of my digging feels way more natural than anything I could do with above ground building.

For some reason I enjoy making mines. Deep, twisting mines. The actual building is often secondary to the sense of accomplishment I get after a long mining expedition.

Not gonna lie, I did think about it. Though I'm typing this two hours before I leave for work, so it'll have to wait for tonight or tomorrow if I do boot it up.

A little bit, but I'm not above a trip or two alt-tabbed to the wiki to see what's up. My last foray was back after they added horses, so there's enough changes to make it interesting. But I haven't yet tried to do something or craft something and found out I needed something else or new to do this now. Plus now they've made crafting more or less automatic, even if they've made a small change to a formula or two I haven't really noticed yet.

I love modded the most, and building all the weird and useful contraptions. Ore doublers, ICBM?s from Voltz(oooold but still fun), visiting other planets in Galacticraft or other dimensions...normal mc just doesnt grab my interest any more. Latest pack i played was the direwolf20 pack. That creep box is amazing!
