Y'know... (and I wrote this intro last) All this thread will create is a "who has the largest wank-off object that the public will notice"....... I also feel bad for joining in...


I own a Mazda RX8, that usually gets attention of people really quickly...

I also stumbled across a 1985 Porsche which I'm in the process of doing up...
now THAT will turn some heads once she's on the road...

In the meantime, I suppose the only other thing that gets people's attention that I own is my MLP shirt(s)... Although I can't help but feel a little self-conscious when people do look.... -.-

Since most of my friends do play games but aren't really 'gamers', my PC setup tends to 'turn heads'. 2 screens, one large and one smaller. A black case with a window and blue/green lights. A gamer mouse and a Z-board gaming keyboard. My PS3 hooked up to it as well. A separate desk for it, and a comfy, good desk chair to sit in.

Other than that...well, my Motorcycle as well. A black Honda Shadow VT 1100 with extended foot rests, a custom paint job (a blue/purple rose and the name 'black rose' on the tank), saddle bags and a windscreen. Quite a few people check it out when I ride by, and I've had a few people come up to me and ask about it or come and look at it up closer when I was parking or getting ready to leave.

Other than that, I dunno if anything has turned heads per se. But I'm working on a model Roma (Italian battleship) that I hope will have this effect.

My awesome hat. It's a black fedora-type thing. Made in Italy, and 100% cotton. The two reactions I get are either "cool hat!" or "what the fuck is with that hat?". I think the second one comes around because, as Monty Python observed, "people aren't wearing enough hats."

What's important is one's freedom to pursue their own happiness and goals, despite arbitrary rules and regulations. I'm a comic collector, I keep my comics in my living room because I've too many to keep anywhere else, they've all been meticulously sorted, placed in bags and boards, cataloged and indexed. An entire wall is covered, topped to bottom in comic boxes (I had special shelves built that cover the entire wall). If I had to guess how many books I had I'd say approximately 5,000. Without fail, every person who's seen the wall goes "whoa, what the fuck?".

Then almost everyone will then cock an eyebrow at me because of some of the titles that I own. It's apparently considered strange that I've got collections of Spider-Girl, Araña, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Birds of Prey, etc. in addition to Spider-Man and Batman and the like.

I've also got a sizable collection of Mario & Luigi plushies, I'm trying to find other plushies out there from the Mario games, but not too many stores stock any other characters except for maybe Yoshi(and postage in Australia is horribly expensive) and seriously, fuck Yoshi.

Outside of that, I'd have to say my Spirit Hood [http://i.imgur.com/b7DJyId.jpg]. It's pretty unusual, but a lot of people seem to like it. They also become quite envious during the colder months. (It's super snuggly and warm!)

Wow, I've never seen Spirit Hoods before; they look awesome. I actually happen to have something very similar which was custom made for me by someone on DeviantArt as a commission.

Outside of that my next biggest head turner or "WTF" reaction generator is my Halo 3 Legendary edition Master Chief Mjolnir helmet. Non gamers are quite confused by it when they visit my house!

My family owns a long-haired rottweiler. He's a purebred (both of his parents are actually award-winning champion show dogs) but he looks like a cross between a rottweiler and a golden retriever. We can go walking with him anywhere, because people's first reactions aren't "oh my god, it's a rottweiler!" it's "oh my god, what is that adorable thing?" It helps that he's A) adorable and B) really friendly.

My favorite story is the time I was walking him back to the car, and some woman was on her cellphone talking to someone, and she basically does a verbal double-take. "And? I just saw one of the strangest things I've ever seen walk past."
