What do you think of women with short hair?

It depends on the woman. Some can pull it off, and some can't. Emma Watson, for instance, looks terrible with short hair. Natalie Portman makes it work though. Gemma Atkinson is a woman that I think looks better with short hair than long, but usually I prefer long hair.

Bow chicka wow wow!

OT: But seriously, I think that women can look really good with short hair. Whether it just ends at the ears or is as short as the pics that OP showed. I find it a bit sexier than the typical longer hair, which can look nice though.

I think women with short hair are beautiful no matter what,

short hair isn't just a style choise (for most women) (most women I know think it is empowering going against what society deems acceptable)

So to me it shows a lot more that beauty

I've not liked my short hair for years. I'm growing it out.
Short hair is much easier to take care of. And shorter hair tends to bring out a person's eyes rather than cover them up in all that hair. Unless you tie it back like I do.

I'm already figuring this out. My hair is curling up at the ends how. So now It looks like I have really curly hair. It looks bad. ;_;

Are you at that middle ground area where your hair is just long enough to get in your face, but not long enough to tie back? That point is hell and sucks. Once you grow it past that, you might not want to cut it again.

Um, yes, absolutely. Women with short hair are pretty amazing. Wait, I mean really amazing. No question there.

Those pictures in the OT are pretty bad examples though. Also, I give theis thread another fifteen minutes before a mod jumps all over it.
It's an open forum, brother. Post some example pics or share a pixie-headed celeb you like, that's the point!

Also, the mods were apparently kind. They removed the original nipple-baring Eve pic. I've replaced both of the last 2 pics with "clean" (read: nipple-free and Jerry Falwell-approved) pics. I swear I didn't look closely enough when I posted them. I was trying to find pictures wherein the hair really framed the face well (esp. since stills don't do real life justice). Kinda hard when your subject is a porn star. Anywho...

Which depends on the woman, but I like shorter hair.

If it makes a woman stand out from the usual shoulder length hair in blonde or brunette, I am interested a little.

Next time your out and about count how many girls don't have shoulder length blonde or brunette hair. Cheryl Cole has made red (not ginger) heads more popular aswell.
Knew a girl with similar hair. Sort of a mohawk but combed over the half of her head which was totally shaved. Sounds very mannish, right? Well, maybe it was because she had the curvy measurements of a 90's model and the face of a cherub, but she was dead sexy.

I think that's the point, really. It's a post-feminist thing, a subversive way to be sexy. To some women it may be just a new sexy-flirty thing, but the way others carry it it's both a mental and physical thing - it looks good and projects their rebellious attitude. Me likey.

But not that pic, no, no.

Yeap. That's where I'm at. It's curling up in the back and around my ears, since it's not long enough to go over my ears just yet (almost). It can cover almost half my face though.

I really wish my hair would grow faster... ;_;

i perfer short hair any way but why did op have to use a pornstar for the last image, it sort of deducted class points from the thread
Porn stars for the last TWO images. If I ever claim on here to be high-minded or classy, please correct me. The internet affords me the freedom to express both my greater and lesser natures. Since three were actresses, two of whom were sex symbols, I went with a (not musically) subversive musician who reminds me of the kind of subversive women who make me wish I still lived in a college/art town (and who's never been under a surgeon's blade), and a couple of porn stars, since porn is more tolerant of female body types than Hollywood.

I don't argue the point, though. You're absolutely right.

There's a few ways to handle this. I handled that transition period with me with a had. Fedora, actually, although I had a decent amount of stubble at the time, so I looked like an unkempt, lazy hippie. Not sure if that'd work for you.

There's the "grin and bear it" approach... which gets irritating. I couldn't do it.

The bright side is that, as it gets longer, the weight of the hair should hold the curls to the point where they won't cause too many problems. And your hair will be nice and wavy. Which looks great.

I think the difference is that women don't tend to get turned on by the sight of a man's nipple, or more specifically, a nipple on a man's chest.
I don't know, I think a lot of women would find a lack of nipples a turn off.

It's just so Uncanny Valley. Personally, I like man nipples. Although I guess I don't count because I'm not a woman?
In the same way, a guy not having eye-lashes would probably also be a turn off, but that doesn't necessarily mean having them is a turn on.
Women like my eyelashes. Many many many (almost all, to hear them tell it) love a man's (not mine) bare chest, nipples and all. Women bring their selves to a climax thinking about Brad Pitt shirtless. If you like, I can provide names and numbers of references.

The only difference is, one is accepted and the other is not. Expats from and travelers to Brazil have told me that, in a nation where women frequently walk around in topless, a nation responsible for the term "dental floss bikini," no one freaks out when they see bare nipples on a woman. The reaction to seeing attractive lady-nipples is pretty much the same as to seeing attractive man-nipples (depending of course on your disposition).

Also, just to be a dick, (.)(.)

Sorry, it's late. I cleaned up the picks, by the way.

Most of the examples that spring to mind are girls I know, and it would be magnificently creepy to post their pictures on a public forum so people could ogle their haircuts. However, I'm going to make use of Instant K4rma's post here to provide an example.

All of the inmates in the movie were gorgeous. Emma Stone was going to be Blondie but, sadly, had to drop the opportunity at the last minute. I never thought I'd find a woman attractive with her hair covering half her face (see: Superbad), but...

Alas, I do not have a hat to wear. I suppose I could buy one, but... I wouldn't want to wear it. I could pull off the hippie look if I took even less care of my hair than I do, but.... considering that I am going for a neater final result (with some very long hair, I might add), I would rather get used to taking care of my hair well now rather than later. Besides... I hate the hippie look.

Truth is i've kept my hair short for a very long time... to the point that I don't even know how to deal with longer hair anymore. x_x

I'll probably want to straighten it out eventually. It depends on how it would look later. I *do not* want curly hair at all. :(

So did I. Rather happy that I don't have to pull that off anymore... although my hair is mostly just tied back now.

The truly amusing thing about this exchange is that it's a complete gender role reversal; I'm completely unaccustomed to talking about this with people, especially women. It's a strange thing. If I were to cut my hair, I don't think I'd find it comfortable for any real length of time. In fact, the pic on my profile is about... two and a half years old years old and it's the most recent one that I've had with hair that short.

Also, wavy hair is attractive. You'll probably never get it Asian straight, but you might be able to train it to straighten itself out naturally. I found that, the more that I tied my hair back, the more likely it was to just stay... wavy for longer periods of time rather than curl back on itself. It's to the point now where it doesn't even do that anymore.

Make sure that, when you tie it back, it's wet when you do so. Otherwise, you'll have to deal with it curling back onto the tie, which can be just as irritating.

I personally like short hair on a girl. But some girls do look really easily like lesbians with that hair style. Not sure why.
