Seeing as the Escapist seems to be having a bit of a tabletop RPG thing going on at the moment, an interesting thought ran through my head. A lot of RPGs use map tiles to represent battles, and while you might have miniatures to represent these enemies, we're all going to end up in the situation where we don't have what we want.
So my question is what do you use to represent PCs, NPCs and the various nasties characters might run into? I'm an avid Warhammer collector, so I've a ready supply of plastic and metal minis to use, but I'm wandering what those without such means use. Lego people, paper counters or are you a 'purist' who does things only on paper?
Note for mods: Not sure if this is in the right forum or not, but it seems relevant to what's going on at the mo, and it is gaming of a sort...
