General Tso's or Sesame chicken and Mongolian Beef with a lot of noodles. Also the occasional egg roll and egg drop soup.
You are thinking of Taiwan food, I suggest you spend a little time with my friend Wikipedia.ACman said:Don't forget fermented eggs, fermented cabbage, fermented fish, deep fried monkey's paw, recompacted crab substitute stirfry, monkey, snake, bird vomit...RicoGrey said:I do understand the difference, authentic Chinese restaurants serve burgers, dog, fries, rice, and raw fish. Taiwan is actually the Republic of China not to be confused with the People's Republic of China.RicoGrey said:You are thinking of Taiwan food, I suggest you spend a little time with my friend Wikipedia.ACman said:Don't forget fermented eggs, fermented cabbage, fermented fish, deep fried monkey's paw, recompacted crab substitute stirfry, monkey, snake, bird vomit...RicoGrey said:I do understand the difference, authentic Chinese restaurants serve burgers, dog, fries, rice, and raw fish. I don't know pinyin either (Cantonese speaker, and a lot of the anglicisations confuse the hell out of me...) but seeing as how I'm Chinese, I at least need to look like I know what I'm talking about! =P But the northern coastal provinces (though perhaps not Liaoning) are known for their seafood, the southern for their fry-ups and the inland ones for their spices. So it's all good as far as I'm concerned!CkretAznMan said:Actually, I love Chinese seafood, but I don't really know pinyin. So I'll just say lobster and crab with the funxi(?).
See as how you two are pretty much giving me an embolism, I'll just say that bird's nest soup is very nice, I'll have you know.ACman said:Don't forget fermented eggs, fermented cabbage, fermented fish, deep fried monkey's paw, recompacted crab substitute stirfry, monkey, snake, bird vomit...
