An end to these stupid holidays. It wouldn't bother me such much if it didn't draw a massive divide between the genders, why the fuck am I, as a guy, expected to invest a whole lot of time and money to make my girlfriend happy (I mean outside of normal relationship compromises)? For a commercial holiday, it's sure as all hell sexist. What, is she incapable of making an effort because she has ovary's?

Well, lets see, no bullshit would be nice. I've never had a date on Valentine's day, but I would hope that if I did, she would know who Valentine was, and what befell him. Honestly, I don't mind other people celebrating it, but I don't feel the need to express my love on a preset date. If she really wants to go out for dinner, or something like that, I'd be alright, but forget the mountains of flowers.
Two words: "internet forum", what do you expect? Personally, I'm single, but I don't really need a girlfriend, not that I'd mind, but trying to find a girl in high school is pretty damn hard. They're usually either obsessed with makeup/fashion, cell-phones, booze, or a mixture of the three, none of which interest me. And I'm a gamer, so trust me, when I say someone is obsessed with something, I mean obsessed.
Having a boyfriend that doesn't piss me the hell off would be nice. Waaait... broke up with one of my exs on Valentine's Day... Bad memory... So no men!

Since valentines day happens to co-inside with reading week I'll probably sleep in, make a fucking awesome breakfast:

More realistically, how about Monday off work so I can stay up and get drunk and watch "Love Stinks" from the Wedding Singer over and over and over. "Me, fatty, sideburns lady and the mutants at table 9 have no way to better the situation, we have absolutely nothing to offer the opposite sex"
I don't even like the idea of Valentines Day as a "holiday" if I had the oppertunity to be with someone, I wouldn't wait for one day of the year to show them how much they meant to me. I just wish to feel normality for once!! Plus having to sit there and watch your YOUNGER brother bring his girlfriend round and cook a nice romantic meal then cuddle up on the sofa and watch a film or something really, really sucks.
