I finally got around to playing Prototype, and I have to say, It was amazing. It was a blast to run around as a super weapon and just wreck everything up. Probably the most fun sandbox game iv played in a while, if not the best ever.

Prototype 2 got announced at the VGA's if yo don't already know. All we know so far is it comes out in 2012, NYC is destroyed, And we will be playing as someone who's goal is to kill Alex, from the first game.

It looks like in addition to mutant powers, we get a sweet power suit thing, and we are going to be fighting giant monsters.

And thats pretty much it.

What do you want for Prototype 2? I personally don't have much. One of my main complaints from the first game was how ugly it was, but it looks like they are really trying to change that, and everything won't look the same because all the buildings are either gone or cover in some mutant goo goodness.

What do you hope for in the sequel?

An interesting protagonist, a wider colour scheme so the cities don't just become red haze (although that might be down to the level of boredom I experienced making my eyes bleed). Also, audible cutscenes, even with my volume cranked it sounded like the characters were trying to keep me out of their little clique by muttering everything.

Better controls, I'm playing it for the first time and I find the controls during sprinting, climbing, and gliding just horrible. The targeting needs work too. I'm spending most my time just throwing flaming cars into crowds and chopping up survivors with claws.

The first game felt like a Prototype really, good concepts but sometimes was a bit of a chore to do what you want.
I still enjoyed the first game and with a second installment they have some potential to make a brilliant game, but I won't get my hopes up in case the game flops.

More speed. Alex was too slow, and the new protagonist also needs flashier moves. It's a power fantasy, so I want to be able to murder a grandmother, open his stomach, knock out her grandchildren and put him inside her, then sew her stomach shut again, and wait until the kid wakes up and realizes what's going on.

Also, we need to get rid of the helicopter/tank missions.

i really enjoyed prototype as well, personally i would just like to neaten the edges really ie. improved targeting/controls etc. But other than that, just a decent story and a more interesting city.

More to do in the city and maybe even a reason to do it, like in infamous.

The one were you have to kill endless waves of Helicopters for that General. So horrible...

And I want flashier parkour, cooler military stuff and to get rid of that gas that takes a massive chunk of health off you.

(And Uber Devastators, like a mini-nuke...)

I liked Alex because he wasn't the normal teary-eyed superhero who's here to save the world. It was quite refreshing. Also, to add Prototype had too many enemies/vehicles that appeared only during missions. Why can't I kill supersoldiers in free roam?

I want Alex Mercer to not be the antagonist. And if at all possible, I want him to be a playable character (I liked Mercer ok?).
