I did look into Dont starve and its just not for me. Perhaps it will get better with patches but right now I dont care for the limited crafting, exploration, and horrible combat. Final Fantasy Versus 13 to finally be released and actually be a very fun and exciting game. Square, hate to break it to you, but we really really REALLY don't care about lightning returns. Just give us versus and i PROMISE you will have a game that will literally sell like hotcakes and maybe even restore your reputation.
Announcement by From Software that says they are making a video game based off of the Berserk Manga with the combat and gameplay style of Dark souls but the roleplaying mechanics of The Witcher 2...and they get susumu hirasawa to come back to compose for it.
As much as I'm mixed on Dark Souls, i do sort of respect it for what it is and i think it's base mechanics (If polished more) could make for a very good berserk game....I CAN DREAM DAMNIT!

I would like 2013 to be good, not just mediocre like 2012 was. The games that came out weren't necessarily bad, they were just completely average.
On the hypothetical note, I want to see the end of all of this online pass/DLC/DRM horseshit. I get really irritated that no matter when you buy the game, whether at release or used, you have to pay even more to be able to access the whole thing. It's idiotic. Also, super-intrusive DRM only hurts paying customers, in case there are still people who don't know that yet.

-A release date for The Last Guardian. I don't care if it's ready for 2013, but I at least want a date. And I want them to keep it. #1 wish for every year until that happens. If it comes out and sucks, the that wish will involve me going into serious denial and beg for Sony to admit it was a joke and come out with the REAL game.
-I want Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time to rock everyone's socks off. So far it's looking spiffy and I've heard nothing but positive things from people that played it.
-In the same vein of Sly, I want more good 3D platformers. The genre is pretty emaciated except for Mario. 2D we have covered on all fronts, just 3D isn't. They're an expensive game genre and they're fiddly to get right, but we need something like a Banjo Kazooie or Jak and Daxter to fill the void. With AAA technology, they can really do good for the genre (big maps, beautiful and vibrant areas, great animation, etc). I dare you to imagine Jak and Daxter with stylized Uncharted graphics and not be weak in the knees.
-I want Insomniac to finally take notice that the fans prefer Ratchet and Clank to be singleplayer games. Most of what was wrong with A4O and FFA can be summarized by how shitty they were for people playing alone and how multiplayer took some valuable resources from what made the games good. Play with the formula, sure. Just...it's been since ACIT in 2009 since people haven't been divided on a Ratchet game. Not only was ACIT ambitious (sure it played the same as the others, but there was also a lot different...and good), but it was also REALLY fun.
-I want Stick of Truth to come out and be awesome...and I also want it for my birthday...plz? Anyone?
-Wouldn't it be awesome for Sonic to have 3 good main games in a row?

I've been really enjoying the "Drama" that I've been experiencing in games as of late,
whether it's from good writing (like the walking dead game) or if it occurs organically
in the game itself (FTL or the new XCOM being good examples). It's been so long since I
felt anything when a video game character died that it's really refreshing.

I want to see more "thief" like games or Witcher 2 like games. I do like the skyrim level base but it is maxed, and that sucks. You can never be to good at anything.
