A lot of kids tell me online that they are MLG. Now to my knowledge, MLG means Major League Gamer. That makes no sense from what I see in the online lobbies. So I ask you Escapist, What do those kids really mean by MLG? :D

They are probably trying to tout themselves as being on par with or superior to the skill level set by those who are actually in MLG. I seriously doubt that anyone who brags about being a MLG really is. They're most likely trying to make themselves seem better than they actually are.

Usually it means that they roll in a clan and play game battles, but that really doesn't mean much about their skill level.

Anyone who gloats about being a MLG 99% of the time, isn't.

MLG players don't play shooters online for a start.

They're just over-confident cockbags. A lot of the kiddies who call themselves MLG will often sit there trying to challenge people to scrim them and stuff, thinking that being in a nub clan makes them superior. The best term to describe them is simply noob.
