Yes, lets categorise that as "The whole nuke thing". Haha, oh North Korea ^_^Blanks said:north korea?, the whole nuke thing
I'm sure they are, the glaciers don't lose thickness, they melt a bit on the surface, make huge lake on the glacier, (miles long) which then disapear in a matter of hours. The water goes beneath the glacier and lubricates the bottom, which speeds up the glacier moving towards the ocean, That Greenland. As for "the ice caps" there are surely millions of ice caps around the world and "they" must have had a lot of money if they measured them all. And anyway, the glacier doesn't lose thickness until later, it just breaks off from the side. As for global warming being bullshit, which I am assuming means you don't think it is even happening, the single piece of evidence that is glacier thickness hardly stands against the massive evidence for global warming. Not only that, carbon dioxide warms up the the atmosphere a bit, which increases the amount of water vapour a bit, which decreases the amount of ice in the Arctic a bit, which makes it a bit colder in the Arctic, which makes the cold currents travelling south warmer, which makes the warm currents travelling north warmer, which then helps melt the ice more, and make the cold currents travelling south even warmer. And it won't end until all that excess CO2 is gone. Of course, thsere will be apoint where so many climatic systems are tumbling towards a warmer world that it becomes impossible to to reverse it. That time is sooner than what was believed just a few years ago.Godofgame67 said:global warming is bull shit. they measured the ice caps. they are the exact same thickness as the were 10 years ago. nothings changed.Lonan said:Wars as a result of global warming. Awesome book. I agree, we're being desensitized early on. For what purpose? In the future, when the armies of the world unveil their Master Chief-style armor, everyone will enlist!Bulletinmybrain said:This is generation kill buddy, where children are being desensitized to violence as early as possible.
Im goona have to go with this guy. We have become to disassociated to actully fear terrorsim. We have other things to worry about, like were Hey Joe got those great shoes...Hey Joe said:Talking to people and using the telephone.

That post was also like 20 years ago but I actually just made it as a reference to Horror Films.soilent said:that was 20 years ago.Disaster Button said:Being trapped in a dark house with flcikerly lights as your stupid, yet attractive, friends are picked off by some kind of masked serial killer? hmm...
That sort of talk starts to lose its weight when you realize some 30% of people are out saying the exact same thing.xChevelle24 said:Our generation fears individualism more than anything. If someone is different, they are constantly ridiculed until they conform to the accepted ways of society.
It's late and I've been drinking so excuse me if I come off as an a-hole but I believe this is a sound and legitimate fear. Those of us that have families to provide for spend many a night awake due to this. With the recent economic collapse and slow economy this is a fear I personally have grappled with. There is no longer a boogie man to fear. The USSR collapsed, most deadly disease is controllable (in the west), we have stared into space and found nothing, we welcome technology with open arms, and most of us don't fear the unknown.E.X.D. said:That'd be one boring horror.Gamer137 said:How about losing there home or job?
I've heard that been said before, and I think that's a load of rubbish.Bulletinmybrain said:This is generation kill buddy, where children are being desensitized to violence as early as possible.
Your right that is a valid point but I don't see the potential that could have for making a good horror suspense story.photog212 said:It's late and I've been drinking so excuse me if I come off as an a-hole but I believe this is a sound and legitimate fear. I may be reading to much into this, however I found your casual dismissal of the fear of joblessness a bit offensive.
P.S. feel free to ignore the ramblings of a late night drunkard upon your presumably light hearted topic.
