Shannon, which means a lot of things. It can be seen as being composed of the Gaelic elements sean "wise" and abhann "river", but I've seen other meanings including, Shining Star, and Wise Little Owl, so who really knows or cares.
As for my surname - Magnano (Italian) I've never been able to find anyone to suggest what that might even begin to mean...
So basically, if I was in an RPG, by name definition, I'd probably be the faceless and personality void generic hero warrior who's biggest attribute is to be "Bravery", aka.: No Personality.

My first name is James, and not only was it the name of one of Jesus' apostles (or was he a disciple? I can't remember), it also means "may god protect him." The second I heard that, I wanted to change my first name. I'm not Christian, and I want nothing to do with it. I just want my name changed to something that isn't affiliated with Christianity.
Alneesa - Friendly. Well, it means that without the L. Far as with the L, I don't really think it means anything since my name is "unique" in spelling and origin.
