It means I have a distinct lack of creativity and a few years ago decided to make my username for something as the first two words that popped into my head. I have since come up with a convoluted back story to it, but it is somewhat irrational and I don't want to bore you with the details unless anyone is particularly interested.

No, no, I wont. Thats just what I always thoguht when I saw your username before i saw your post. Thats why I thought you called your review thread marter to the movies.
The "Marter to the Movies" series is somewhat a play on "Escape to the Movies" that MovieBob does.

Except that, since my username is "Marter", it works out well. =)

Chrono is 'time' in Greek but that was unintentional.
212 is just '2142' as in Battlefield 2142 without the naffness of having the name of the game you're making your name for in said name.

Blackmagic is a reference to a joke from a story that my friend and I were writing a few years ago. Basically the main character's last name was Black and he was able to use magic. At one point his girlfriend left him, but he managed to convince her to come back. When his friend asked how he managed it, his response was 'I used a bit of Black magic'.

And now the name has stuck with me ever since. The 1515 is just my favourite number twice.

'Jooeey Kapowey' is a name people sometimes call me at school (guess what my name is) and the 'Mr J' comes from a section of 'Feet of Clay' where it is stated that the last thing a bad horse doctor will hear is 'Mr Chyrophrase is most displeased...'.

Two semi-randomly chosen words that do and do not fit together at the same time. I like it. So should you.

used JPArbiter since Starcraft came out when I was 14. JP is my initials, Arbiter is a Protoss Unit in Starcraft.

the fact that Halo 2 came out when I was in college just made the nickname cool, to the point where RL friends, and even my wife call me Arbiter.

Uh... I really like Vampires. And I also really like cats.

Seemed natural.
Liking cats is a noble pursuit, but then half the internet would have to change their id's to _____ cats.

My name is Brian Williams, so at some party a drunk girl wouldn't stop calling me the nightly news. I hated it so of course everyone started calling me it and it grew on me.

If you don't know who Brian Williams is ------> http://www.hulu.com/watch/138631/late-night-with-jimmy-fallon-slow-jam-the-news-brian-williams-edition

Kerrigan?
It meant nothing, but later I found out it was an already made up name...
Annoying.

chinangel. China Angel. I love Jade Empire, and 'angel' was my nickname in school (courtesy of a pendant I wore) thus the name.

On my dad's side of the family, the males all refer to one another as "Stammer".

As an odd result of that, we all got numbers. My dad being Stammer3 and me being Stammer6. So on a lot of forums, games, and web sites I'm either known as "Stammer" or "Stammer6". Though when I made my account on The Escapist, I wasn't at the point where I tacked the "6" onto the end of it so that's why it's just "Stammer".

Also as a weird coincidence I have a stuttering speech impediment so in a sense I do stammer a lot. haha

Mine is geeky, to say the least.
Basically, it's what is known (well, known to some) in Sweden as LARP-Quenya. That is to say, a version of Tolkiens Quenya, simplified so that one might learn it easily enough to speak when LARPing. For my first LARP, I played a bodyguard elf, so I choose the name Varyaraco, loosely "the guardian wolf". Which I then shorten to Varya (Guardian.
I like it because quite a few of my friends know me by that name since I've only met them when LARPing, it has a nice ring to it, and it's fairly unique so on most sites I can use it without having to add X_x or 666 to make it work.
