What does "your" Tali look like ?

I know people love Mass Effects original and believable *snicker* aliens, but I see a problem here....
how does a species develop backwards raptor talon feet....and somehow still has a perfect attractive human face? I call bullshit on the premise of fan wish-fulfillment.

Bioware's design is nice, however, but they could've got a better way to present it. I mean, not only the normal arguments of it being a lazy stock photo shop, but also in how you get to see it. A picture, one that is fairly hard to see thanks to the light, is just picked up and viewed. Hardly the ultimate moment where the player finally sees what the Quarians look like, a race that has lived inside full body suits for hundreds of years. It felt so underdone, more of an after thought.
One of many reasons why I feel Mass Effect should have stayed in development until September, at least. That way, possibly a better ending, the game would be more stable on the PS3, Multiplayer could be expanded to be more meaningful and most importantly someone could have put in some fucking quest tracking! Seriously, what was up with that?

Really the only thing I expected was her to look less... humanlike and I just assumed the race as a whole had really long faces because i imagined their mouths we behind the circle part of the mask.
I could of gone with a predator, Darth Vader or even something else...but i decided on something different, something more uniform and reflective of the entire Quarian race:

I still haven't seen her, I'm waiting to see it in game on my second playthrough, where she's my LI (don't know how I managed to avoid stumbling upon the picture yet). This, however, is just perfect:

To be honest, I never really imagined anything beyond her character in game. To me, that is what Tali is. The suit is part of the appeal of the character. I never needed any kind of closure on what she looked like.
I didn't put much thought into it and preferred the mysterious aspect of the characters appearance. However, my Tali is now the same Tali they had revealed, it is THEIR character after all.
