...so presumably the people were American...
Why is that?
21 Is the age of consent in some states, is it not?
Typically, 21 is the legal drinking age but that's about it. Eighteen is considered an adult, you can usually get you're drivers license at 16, and depending on the state, the age of sexual consent can be as low as 17 or 16.
Yeah, and I presumed he was going by that and was American. USA was the only country I knew where places were 21 for (some) consent, and the site being American.. I drew a conclusion.

Wasn't really the point I intended, just that they called me a child, assuming it meant 1989, despite 20 (to me in my country) is not a child.

Come now, weave us a yarn about the history of your Username.
not very ethical. My friend showed me a chainsaw in his backyard, and I was just lighting a match to tease him. Y'know, a match would light the chainsaw. But then a squirrel lept out of nowhere and I dropped the match. The Squirrel died by the way.No one was hurt though.

There are two reasons for mine. One, me and a group of friends had nicknames based on Greek letters, I chose Omega, because I liked the way it sounded; final, resolving, and awesome.
Two; In every user name I've EVER HAD, I've included the words Lightning (favorite element), Dragon (favorite animal including mystical ones), or Omega (for awesomeness) in them in some way shape or form.

My user name is I HATE POKEMON.

God, If I had a nickel for everyone who mixed up my name like that...

Gralian was originally a name for an undead rogue i used to play a long long time ago. However, the name stuck when i met my guild who i grew to stick with for a damn long time and stayed in touch with even when i didn't play wow. I've been using it ever since. The funny thing is that some people pronounce it differently. Some say 'Grah-lee-an', some say 'Gray-lee-en'. It ended up being an everyday name for me. Even when chatting over skype where people used their real names in conversation, i just always used to be called Gral or Gralian as opposed to Jon or Jonathan. Weird, but fun i guess.

Johan Gas Mask is what Yahtzee calls one of the minigun wielding nazi in his Medal of Honor Review. But long after i saw that review i was doodling this guy wearing a Gas Mask while giving a old man the finger. His first name was "Jói Gas Gríma" or Joey Gas Mask .
But When i found the Escapist , i thougt it would be fiting to call me JohanGasMask because of the popularity of Ben yahtzee.

Well, I don't think that necessarily means they where American. I'm 21 and an American, and I haven't been called a child in a loooong time, except perhaps by super old people. The people you where dealing with where probably just dicks.

Uh... I guess it'd be a butler... that's for hire... maybe...
Let's just say it's "open to interpretation". A phrase I can hide behind to get out of having to think of stuff.

If you've ever played a Resident Evil game and are familiar with the Star Trek related phrase of "red-shirt" you would understand. As much as I love those Umbrella troopers, they sure do die in cut scenes a lot.

They was lol. It was more of context anyway, to the age implying.

And no it doesn't, no harm done either way.

Mine means I was in a hurry and my first three choices were already taken. Plus I like the word as an onomatopoeia.
