What forgotten game/IP do you wish to be revived for the current-gen?

So please gimme a sequel!!! :p The original game is also on PSN. Obviously not in Australia b/c there the government decides what you can or can not play.
There is a sequel, is there not? Although I guess it's not very recent.

Yeah, it's alright but I consider it mostly a weaker imitation of the original. Sequels need to improve and this one just doesn't. Still not a bad game though.

There is only one true answer.

Yeah I remember that game! It was actually pretty good. Wasn't it by the same peeps that made Hitman? I also second the Legacy of Kain series. Those games were really fun(Soul Reaver 2 was a bit too heavy on the puzzles though in my opinion) and I was particularly hooked to the storyline. A new-gen game in that gothich/otherworldly setting would be so awesome. We haven't seen a proper LoK game in like 10 years or so. :(

Two I can't believe I forgot about:

'Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy". This game was SOOO much fun, and the ending left itself wide open for a sequel, but tragically I don't think we'll ever see it come to fruition.

Make a 'Freespace 3', please, someone, anyone. In my opinion, 'Freespace 2' was easily the best space sim game ever made, but the ending still left a ton of unanswered questions.

I wish they'd bring Drakan back. I played the first one for the PC to death, and I really liked the improvements they did for part 2 on the PS2. Quality games.

Half Life
Dungeon Keeper
Baldurs Gate (would accept a new IP that used D&D rules)
KOTOR (singleplayer)

Threads like this one seem to come up all the time and yet I've never seen anyone bring this game up, which is odd because it is awesome!

I am of course talking about Call of Du....

Space Station Silicon Valley, I know the company that made it is too busy with a slightly more successful franchise but C'mon!

I so badly desire a new Spyro the Dragon game. And I'm not talking about Skylanders. I mean a traditional platformer with the little purple dragon front and centre. It doesn't even need to be made by Insomniac; just a developer who gives a little bit of a shit. Unfortunately, since Activision is Spyro's overlord, I fear that this will never happen, but I hold onto the hope that he will return to his former glory at some point in my lifetime, if only for a fleeting instant. But you know...at least I can still have Ratchet and Clank.

Nobody's mentioned System Shock yet? System Shock (1&2) needs a revival... or at least a proper remastering.

Another Ace Combat that is not Infinity and not Assault Horizon. While I am fine with Infinity, despite the over expensive fuel, I like the return to traditional Ace Combat style with the awesome Engine of Assault Horizon without DFM. So give us another traditional Ace Combat. Specifically give us a remake of Ace Combat 3, the Japanese release, with an actual story and branching paths. Or just make a new world and start over with Ace Combat, since after 6 there is not a lot of time before it jumps to the future shown in Electropshere. In either case, keep the DFM out of it, but keep the destruction engine.

Also, Square, Front Mission, please. Not Evolved, but a Turn Based Strategy one. Reboot it, give it another chance internationally.

I have to add another game I completely forgot about until just now.

I would love to see a sequel to Black. That game, and it's soundtrack in particular, were spectacular, as far as I was concerned.

1. Legacy of Kain. Great setting, we need more of it.
2. Legend of Dragoon, I had so much fun playing this Sony, give me more.

A sequel to Beyond Good and Evil (seriously...it's been over ten years now and it ended on a cliffhanger...)and either a reboot, remake or sequel to Jet Force Gemini.

This game!

You commanded a hovertank on remote planets against a rebel uprising. I always thought it would be amazing with modern graphics (so you could have trees and such)

Shadow Hearts, specifically in the style of Shadow Hearts 1 and 2. Those games were magnificent RPGs, outpacing a lot of the bigger named entries in the genre back in the PS2 glory days. Their combat was fantastic, they were set in an unusual time in history and had a fantastic horror tone when every other JRPG was trying to be Final Fantasy. It's a tone and style we desperately need again.
