In one go? Either Civ II, JA2 or UFO: Enemy Unknown (X-Com). All three gave me the startling revelation that the sun was up and it was now officially tomorrow. I think the winner would probably be X-Com as I received my copy about midday, and quit playing after dawn the next day. I had three starts and a break for a bowl of cornflakes in there, so I'm not sure if it counts.

Oh god this is gonna be a really tough one.

I remember having a heck of a Dynasty warriors 3+ Extreme Legends marathon with 3 other friends for a week. Such a fun week that went past in a hazy blur as at least one of us was always playing that game, and the rest would randomly go to bed and eat at odd times before going back to play/watch. Fun times, ah to be a kid again :') That would probably be the longest time I've spent on a game even if I wasn't exactly alone here.

Otherwise on my lonesome, moo2, xcom (original), various paradox games, gal civ, fallout new vegas and Skyrim all had me playing at least an allnighter if not more.

And it was TOTALLY worth it.

Oh there's a also a few mmos...But I don't count them, because in those cases I was feeling pressured to make the most of my month sub+wasn't really having fun so much as wanted to go up in lvls and play as much as possible and in the end that feeling turned me off mmos completely, I'm much prefer just paying for x hours and not feel pressured (ironically, most mmo players would vehemently disagree with me and prefer the reverse, but then I suppose that just proves why I'm not an mmo player).

Fallout 3 has kept me up the longest, keeping me up all night and nearly the whole next day. I just wanted to see and do everything the game would let me. To be honest if I sat down and started playing it again now I would probably be on it all day and all night again. It's such a great game.

Also, Final Fantasy 14. That MMO has me hooked utterly. The end game grinding kept me up all night once, because I was having fun watching films while grinding Fates. I was very determined to finish my fate grinding and get all the items. And I did it, and I was very proud of myself when I finished it.

Longest binge would be with The Shining Force for about 17 hours, ending at three in the morning.

Somehow, Mom didn't keep track of what I was doing, and no one told me to go to bed.

In terms of keeping me up late, Grand Theft Auto IV hands-down: until 4 or 5 in the morning.
In terms of time spent straight overall, it's Minecraft, from late morning until late afternoon.

Star Wars Galaxies, sat up two days straight because I was hosting an event. I had to fiddle around with the props and managed to create a massive prison for the event. Took 12 hours to build it (just build mind you), by the time I was done I needed to stay online because the event was about to start. It was another 4 or 6 hours, was a great event. Makes me miss SWG, hosting events in that game was awesome.

There's a short video showing it off, some stuff missing though like NPC's and so on because it was filmed after the event. And some stuff look blocked off because during the event, stuff were triggered.

The first time I picked up Mass Effect, I played for 20 hours straight. I stayed up for a total of 48 hours. It was just that good. Afterward, I had the best sleep of my life. My mom thought I was in a coma.

Just tore myself away from GTAOnline...3am. Tons of custom content and a lot of it better than the R* original jobs.

Fallout 3 had me up for long hours too.

When I was a kid it was the Phantasy Star games (the originals not pso).

But nothing can keep me up like a Sims game. I wont even realize it's 4am and I haven't even furnished my new house.

I played Saints Row IV from release to completion in one sitting, which unfortunately meant I had to stay up till six because of the midnight release.

More regularly though, Civ V keeps me up, Dragon Age 2 keeps me up, and Skyrim. Fuck Skyrim I have lost so many hours to that shit.

What's this? Someone else has actually played Shining Force?! Can't say I've ever played through in one sitting but the way the game progressed does make it very difficult to put down.

OT: I have had several accidental all-nighters because of Mount and Blade: Warband (and some of it's more gigantic mods). The sad thing is, even after such a long playing session, I still won't have made any huge progress towards world domination since the game is so damn big in scope. I'm pretty sure the first time I actually "beat" the game took close to 150 hours.

There was one night when a friend of mine and me decided to play 2v2 Halo Wars at about 7pm, and we stopped at 7am. Besides that and another time when I did something similar, I don't tend to do stuff like that.

My longest will always be with Lineage 2. I was in a very large clan war and I stayed up for 2 whole days and nights (roughly 48 hours) just to see the end of it. I was about 19, and I kept going with coke and chips.

I've basically done that with literally every Tales game I own so far... as well as any of the Kingdom Hearts games that I own so far...

The time I remember the most was when I decided to play through the next 3 or 4 in-game months of Persona 3 without saving just to see what was going to happen next... I guess you can say that I saw one of the major twist of that game "ahead of time", since I would still have to replay up to that section of that game anyway... But, for me, it made me realized how much overpowered I was to even last through those in-game months while barely entering Tartarus...

So, yeah... JRPGs keep me up all night...

Believe I played Diablo III for at least 40 hours when it was released, but I'm pretty sure I had longer streaks back when I was extremely obsessed with WoW as a 16 year old.

Diablo 2, I remember starting to play around 13:00ish then my mother came in and asked if I shouldn't go to bed, it was 6:30 the next day. I hadn't noticed that so much time had passed.

When I first came across Mafia at a LAN, everyone else went to sleep- I stayed up nearly all night trying to get as far through the story as I could.

When I first got Deus Ex (and I'm talking last year) I stayed up all night playing it... and it wasn't even a new level. That's right, I was replaying the previous level to see how it would play out differently if I changed my play style. No other game has ever made me do that.

Oblivion clocked in at 83 hours. Never again. I felt so awful at the end and was sick the next week.

EVE: Online
12 hour long fleet op which spiraled out of control.

We were taking down a neutral Player Owned Starbase,
I was part of the dreadnought fleet.
It was supposed to be a quick jump in, flatten, get out, operation.

What actually happened was a hostile alliance decided to contest that.
In fact, two waves of capital ships from two separate alliances attacked us one after the other.
I was there from the word go, but we were being continually reinforced, so the battle went on with me shooting non-stop.
