What game has the WORST music?

As much as I love the game itself, the music in Drakengard is pretty awful. It's mostly samples of orchestral pieces that have been digitally messed with and stitched back together like some kind of bizarre auditory Frankenstein's monster, and the end result sounds repetitive and jarring, like a constantly-skipping CD.

It works in some places in the game; if nothing else, the music does a good job of conveying an urgent atmosphere. But for the most part it's just "oh god, make it stop". The only track I really like is the end credits theme, "Growing Wings", and that one's not on the OST as far as I'm aware. D:

Fortunately, the music in the sequel is much, MUCH better.

Oblivion *raises flame shield*. It's generic and uninspired, at least in my opinion. I don't see why people like it so much.
You better be talking about the music or I will gut you.

If you ARE talking about the music, I agree - the only memorable vanilla soundtracks from it were the ones that play when walking into a town.

But you have to remember, this game (even after like 4 years) STILL has a dedicated base of modders, and I have found quite the epic music pack for it.

If you have Oblivion, try getting the "Ultimate Music Pack"

Yeah, you're way deeper then me. I just want the music to match the mood and rhythm I'm playing at. Still, ignorance is bliss. :p

(Is it just me or does the "Modern Warfare 2" logo look like the "BF2: Special Forces" logo?)
Lol, not really, I just don't understand what that kind of music has to do with that style or theme of game.

But this is coming from a person who has so far to date has not heard a bad song come out of a game about a certain blue hedgehog, and I'm seeing a lot of hate for it on here. Same with the Bayonetta music...apparently being upbeat and happy is bad??? It's not my fault that this song is so dang catchy.

For me it would be Fallout 3. Except for the main menu music at about 30 seconds in. Of course, the start of that is rather annoying. But the idle, "wandering" music is just so damn annoying.
There's barley any music there. They had to put SOMETHING in to avoid dead silence.

By the way, you do know that the Pipboy has a radio with some awesome 50s music, right?

Devil May Cry 4's music never really hit home for me.

The soundtrack of Assassin's Creed II is fine, but, at times, especilly when walking inside the villa, I could swear, all I hear is the note progression of the Terminator theme. Y'know, da-da-da, duh-duh-duh...I also noticed that in Fallout 3. Odd...really...odd.
I actually loved the Assassin's Creed II music.

Have you listened to the track "Ezio's Family"

Man, that one is so damn relaxing, so is "Home in Florence"

While I cannot really recall any game where I would think the music was particularly bad (but then again, I have bad memory), I do recall games where the music was good. So it amazes me that some people mention Fallout 3 and Half-Life 2 as examples of poor music quality. Fallout 3 has some really good 50's songs that really fit with the general theme of the game, while the only criticism I would give Half-Life 2's music is that most of it's tracks are short. Otherwise, Valve did a fantastic job with the soundtrack.

I think the actual music is pretty fitting, even if the words do create some dissonance. But I think MW2 actually goes better with classical music anyway. I have it set to play "Night on Bald Mountain" and "Marche Slav" during the Russian invasion, and it fits perfectly.

The music in the trailer for Mercenaries 2 made me boycott that game.

As far as Fallout's concerned, Butcher Pete rules.

I LOVE "EZIO'S FAMILY" :)
Not the people. Lol.
Gotta agree with you there, Claudia is a spoiled brat, Pettrucio is fat and annoying, but I have to say I really liked Federico - he reminds me of my older brother.

Yeah, I meant the music. The game is pretty epic. I've actually just gotten into the massive base of modders, which makes it about twice as epic.

DL'ing the music pack now.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcCoHcmgYsc

Now you might think, ''Oh, it's not too bad,'' but when you have to listen to it for 20 minutes straight before the game will let you listen to something else, it gives you this horrible headache.
