Literally anything on the Wii. Screw you friend codes. I also don't think I've ever played a match of SSB Brawl that wasn't lagging to all hell. We're talking horrible, 3 second unplayable lag.

Halo 3 was a big disappointment. It's certainly not a bad multiplayer experience, but compared to Halo 2 or even CoD4 now, it's just a steaming pile of poop. I keep saying it, but they really just need to change the Battle Rifle back to it's Halo 2 version.

Not really Multiplayer, but Co Op.

F A B L E 2. Co op failed harder than anything ive ever seen in my life. (Besides Nicholas Cage's acting.)

Halo 3 and GeOW2, which both tend to be lagtastic shitshows of dull, repetitive killing, mostly because the same weapons are all that are ever used.

Halo 3 - assault rifle, shotgun, battle rifle
Gears 2 - shotgun two-piece and chainsaws. Seriously, this game is broken compared to its predecessor.
Laging isn't the the games fault, its either your fault for having bad connection, or because the host has a bad connection
Ah, but see, I have a fantastic connection being as I am at a university (Rice is its own ISP, so no problems there either). The problem is that other, non-host players have absolutely SHIT connections. In a game like Gears or CoD 4, these people get autobooted. Not so in Halo 3.

ahhhh, ur good

Gears of War 2. It actually got worse from the first game.

You can't pick what game you play before you search for a match, the ranking system is a fail, the chainsaw is a skilless weapon that gets all the kills just for holding down the B button, people steal kills constantly, the random damage generator causes your enemy to sometime survive a blast of a shotgun from literally point blank when it could one-shot you from 5 feet away, you can't even quit in the middle of a match, even when the rest of your team has shut off their Xbox's, grenades can be stuck to the walls as proximity mines and are damn hard to avoid, people take the game too seriously, people glitch and use lag switches much too often...

Okay, for the sake of length, I will stop there. But if it helps, there is actually MORE that is wrong with the game than that. It's actually pretty sad, since EPIC did good with the Gears 1 interface.

Gears of War 2. The matchmaking is just horrible and maybe they have fixed it since the last time I played it but I remember the chainsaw being extremely to cheap. For shits and giggles I would do absoulutly nothing but hold B and run around the smaller maps and I would get kills because the chainsaw latches onto people even if there a good distance away from you. Granted Gears 1 had a similar problem but Gears 2 was just laughable. I used to piss people off so much by doing that. Especially if i ended up being top kills just by doing that.

The Darkness, such a good single play but incredibly bad multiplayer.
I agree with this. Loved the singleplayer game, despised the multiplayer.

The multiplayer in Resistance 2 was just horrible madness.
I really enjoyed the madness. It did have some skill unlike alot of "frag fests" and the big maps with combat moving all over the map with it focussed on different places at different times seemed to work really well, especialy on team deathmatch. In my opinion it is one of the most enjoyable online shooters (or at least out of those that I've played).

Super Smash Bros series.

Of course, the singleplayer is just as horrible.
I'm sorry what? How is that terrible multiplayer (leave out melee if you are complaining about elitists)? BLASPHEMY!
Also to the complaints about COD 4, sometimes its ridiculous but once you've had your few 'getting owned in the face' matches, you actually should develop some basic skill and step away from the nade launcher (or as they call it the 'noob tube')

For me its Half life 2 Death Match, sure the weapons are fun but its too much blind firing.

Fear 2 also had terrible multiplayer (bad weapon choices)
And Fifa 09 just because of the "with anyone 10v10" matches which consist of a bunch of kids singing and scoring own goals D:

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 co-op mode.

Both players share a screen, but Player One dictates the camera, so if Player Two gets ahead, or lags behind, they disappear from sight. There is a recovery system, but I tend to find that by the time they're recovered somewhere, Sonic is already a few screens ahead.

TF2 in the PS3...
The game was great, probably one of the best multiplayer experiences I had... when it worked.

When it didn't (which happends like 90% of the time), it is just a laggy mess.

How is it terrible? The control scheme is terrible as essentially it is a button masher. There are a couple of combos for each character, but no meat to the system. The graphics (with the exception of the one for Wii) are horrible. The mechanics to the game are a joke (really, 300% damage and you aren't dead? Oh wait, no one dies, they are knocked out of the arena). The whole game is just a cache in on all Nintendos mascots, and because of that people bought it up and they figured if they just add more and more characters, people will up and buy it.

And with my complaints about controls and combos and whatnot, I played the game a lot on the 64, some on the Gamecube, and a good amount on the Wii to see if they fix the game on each iteration only to be let down every time. I really want it to be a good game, but in the end, it just isn't.
