Nothing. Everything I like turns to shit in my mouth. Even Max Payne 3's single player lost much of its appeal when I realized all you have to do is run sideways.
So, I have to ask, because your posts are genuinely always negative. Is there anything in this world you DO like? I mean, anything? Because from your content, it seems like the answer is no.

Halo and Gears of War were the 2 series that really got me into gaming, I have very fond memories of playing Halo:CE through Reach and Gears of War 1 & 2. They made me into a huge Xbox fanboy and had me fanboying through the GameTrailers forum back in 2008, good times.
Did you start playing MGS on Xbox too then or cross over at some point? Judging by your avatar it would just seem you'd be an MGS fan above all else.

The Last Guardian did something special to my heartstrings, every time Trico slipped or messed up even slightly, I could feel my heart sink at the sight of her struggling, knowing i could be of no help. Nothing else in this media has created a connection with such instinctual purity. The gameplay was frustrating at times, but they did such a great job at making her feel real that no other game has come anywhere close to, it might be one of those games the future will look more kindly upon, like a cult classic with flaws but a strong, unique identity. Until anybody tries something similar, but that would take a lot of time/effort/skill.
This pretty much sums up why I find it difficult to take people who are quick to dismiss this game seriously. There were near-endless comments after its final E3 showing about how the game looked bad or was old and clumsy looking, blah blah blah. Very few people seemed to care let alone grasp what it took to put a creature like that in a game and have it convey what you described.

I did own a PS2 and I beat MGS2 and 3 numerous times but I never really appreciated the MGS series until just a couple of years ago. Most likely because I didn't play games for their stories or characters when I was 10-11 years old, but decided to jump back in before MGSV was released and I was hooked.

Well, I guess technically I'm more a MGS fan than a Gears and Halo fan right now but they played a bigger part in my childhood.

In no particular order: The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, Mass Effect and Bioshock.

I'm not big on nostalgia.

Damn...I'd love to have the kind of free time you appear to possess.
No, you wouldn't.

Perhaps it depends. I never get bored. The problem for me is I'm generally interested in too much, so often end up procrastinating about even starting to do anything that would take several days (ie reading books-mostly non fiction, watching entire film series or shows, games, etc.) because I wouldn't be able to devote a satisfactory amount of time to everything. I could be retired, have a maid, personal chef, etc, and would still probably be pondering what to start or finish next. This is only factoring in entertainment type stuff. I won't even get into travel, cooking, fitness goals, etc.

In general I guess either way I have a difficult time coming to terms with the fact that life is too short to be able to do everything you'd like.

I think we all feel like that. I archive so much stuff, but I fear I won't even live long enough to revisit it all. I ignore a lot of media simply because it would take up a lot of my time. I do also get bored of consuming media.
I get that too. I'd like to try my hand at actually creating something but don't really have anything I'm particularly stellar at. Have edited a few video collages here and there and written some music, but have never really found that "calling" type of thing people get when they truly succeed at doing something significant. I have a bad habit of overthinking things in general too which doesn't help.

Yes it was a serious question.

*Snips all that text* I don't talk as much about the things I like because they don't come up in conversations, usually.
You know you could've saved yourself all that tiring time and just said "Yes: plus the last sentence you typed. I wasn't asking for citations and source material, just a yes/no.

It's kind of sad how small my list is there. Getting emotionally invested in games doesn't come easy to me. The #1 game in the emotions department for me has been Brothers: Tale of Two Sons. The last portion of it had me going "Holy shit!" in a very hoarse voice.

Witcher 3 had its moments as well, and Odin Sphere at least moved me with its music and aesthetics.

Otherwise, I tend to get so focused on gameplay that the story just gets shunted aside in my head until I reach a very compelling cutscene or a moment where story and gameplay really intertwine.

I would probably say the Halo franchise. Halo 2 was the first game that I really loved, and Halo 3 was the first game that I was excited for, and I can remember the game's launch vividly, despite it being 10 years ago. It is probably the most significant series to me, and I can remember each game very fondly, and each one has a very specific memory to go with it.

It breaks my heart to see where the series is going, and the quality of the games recently.

I'd say early 2d Sonic. Sort of. The Mega Drive was a big part of my childhood and one I have fond memories of, but that's all, really.

Considering your assumption about me and how absurd the question was, on top of the fact that it's not the first time I'm being asked this on a forum, yes, it kind of was necessary.

It's not an assumption about you when you flat out state it from your own lips. And seeing as it's not the first time you've been asked it, perhaps there's a reason for that trend. Common variable and all that.
