What game series would you bring back from the dead?

Zone of the Enders and the Tales of series.

Tales of is practically dead in America and while it may be announced that Tales of Graces F is coming to the states, I won't believe it until it's sitting on a retail shelf.

I have been going through my PS2 pile of shame and I restarted Rouge Galaxy...but that made me miss the Dark Cloud series, specifically Dark Cloud 2. If they made a high definition sequel of that I am sure it would look amazing, as long as they stick with the cartoony art style.

I miss dungeon crawlers like that that aren't called Zelda

1) Maniac Mansion - The original was a classic and Day of the Tentacle is simply fantastic. Easily my favorite of the point and click genre.

2) Lemmings - Specifically a revival of the 2D greats. Lemmings and Lemmings 2: The Tribes.

Dark Cloud had a sequel. In the US it was simply Dark Cloud 2. In the UK it was called Dark Chronicle, and it was amazing!

I have all kinds of nostalgia for StarTropics since it was basically my childhood, and I would love to see it come back.

I'm not sure if it's at all a popular game but I definitely would love a currently gen sequel, 'Spy Fiction' by Sammy Studios

I love it so, I loved all the tech and characters.

(Apparently, Sammy Studios is now 'High Moon Studios'...they make Transformer games...*Shutter*)

Resident Evil (Oh ho ho no he didn't)

I'd actually like to see Auto Modellista come back. That game was fun and had a very cool art style.

I register myself in here only to say two words.

Body Harvest.

Even a remake with better graphics will beat a lot of games now.

Aw man, too many good series dried up in the aether:

*Legacy of Kain (even with Tony Jay dead, they can't just leave it like this!)
*Shenmue (GOD-DAMNED CLIFFHANGER ENDING!)
*Zone of the Enders
*Rival Schools
*Grandia
*Shadow Hearts (take the series into WWII!)
All of these please, especially Shadow Hearts, this generation needs more (if any) exceptional JRPGS.

I think we could have System Shock 3 without making SHODAN too laughable a villain. It has been over a decade, after all.

X-wing games.

Hell, the space combat simulator genre for all I care, and not the arcade ones like Rogue Squadron, I mean the ones where you sit in a cockpit and manage your fighter's power distribution while shooting down torpedoes aiming for your exhaust pipe and chasing down tie fighters, interceptors, and bombers going for your capital ship which is also engaged with the enemy capital ship which is 50% more powerful and bigger than your capital ship.
Yes, this, most definitely.

I'll also be unoriginal and request the obligatory Timesplitters and Star Wars Battlefront sequels.

I'm tempted to say Interstate, but maybe it's better to leave it as is. If they just brought back Interstate 76 that'd be pretty amazing.

Arcanum! I want the original all cleared up, combat fixed, things added etc, and then sequels galore. Also more isometric Fallout games. Basically any turn based isometric game I could possibly think of forever.

Resident Evil. I know, someone beat me to the joke. Still, my point stands. A combination of Alan Wake and Dead Space has ALMOST managed to fill the Verdugo-shaped hole in my life. (For the record, I'm talking about pre-RE5 RE. I'm not one of those "vintage" fans that dismiss RE4, but I sympathize with their plight.)

The Halo Franchise, I would want to fund it for when it needs a stimpak to be god-like but only if the franchise has sucked around that time.

Also, another vote for the X-Wing/TIE Fighter series. And also Freespace.
Aye. If there is ANY game series that could use an anthology, it's X-Wing/TIE Fighter.
It could honestly be the only good thing that could come out of the continued repackaging of the prequels...

After reading the posts I have decided that a Dungeon Keeper 3 would be nice...

Although more Space sims would be nice. Sure There is Evochron, X and a few others. But there are even open source games being made. Yet none of the major game developers are even competeing. All we get are more bland modern FPS games.

i seriously think a star wars battlefront 3 with all the gimmkiy bullshit of 2 taken out.
This Would also be VERY nice as long as there were still NPCs. But Knowing Lucas arts it would never be greenlighted.

We can keep dreaming yet I don't think it will ever really happen.
