I'll get straight to the point:

That jovial time period known as Christmas is coming up and my parents have asked me what I want. Now normally this is quite easy but after about 2 games I drew a complete blank. Now I get about 2 games a year (One at christmas, one for my birthday) so I have to be absolutely sure the games I do get are awesome. For example, I bought Borderlands and was quite disappointed with it, but I couldn't get another game for 6 months.

So basically I'm turning to you guys for advice on what to get. I have an Xbox 360 and a low-end PC, it can run things like Civilization 4 but nothing huge like Crysis. I mostly play RPGs (Mass Effect, Dragon Age...) but FPSs and RTSs are good too.

At the moment, I've got Mass Effect 2, Halo Reach, Halo 3, The Orange Box, Dragon Age, Assassins Creed, Borderlands and MW2 for Xbox and Civilization 4, KotOR 1&2, a few Total War games and Oblivion for PC. So... Have any suggestions?

(Btw, I hate Bioshock and Half Life, just to make that clear.)

Thanks guys :)

You have assassins creed.....get 2.
It's pretty cheap now aswell.

EDIT: btw you could just get a job and get a new game every 2 weeks.

but that's just a suggestion, don't pay much attention to it.

If you've already got Oblivion have you thought of getting the rest of the Elder Scrolls back-catalogue? Arena and Daggerfall are available as freeware now, and the Morrowind GotY edition can be picked up for around fifteen pounds.

If you're looking for something newer maybe go with Fallout: New Vegas (it's less buggy on the 360, I've clocked >45 hours of play and only hit 2 glitches). Also Civ 5 is well worth a look, if you don't mind the whole 'mandatory Steam' thing.

If your really really unsure what you want, just ask them to buy those prepaid steam card money dealy-o's and when x-mas comes around with the inevitable mind boggling Steam sale you can get the most bang for your buck!

VERY good idea, I'm not sure if you were interested in Black Ops, I noticed you have MW2, but in my opinion you should avoid Black Ops, the multiplayer is very unbalanced and broken and the campaign isn't amazing.

Do you think your computer can handle Red Dead Redemption? I've had it on my list ever since Angry Joe gave it his highest rating ever.
