Inspired by ?You can play one not-yet finished game in it?s final form?.?

So putting aside the games we only have to wait a year or less for the opportunity to play. What game that never got created, either because the project got cancelled or because it never got started, would be on the top of your (Christmas/Hanukah/Quanza/fill in arbitrary holiday or day where gift given is appropriate) list. For me, It is space quest 7. I use to love that series and the cancellation of the seventh installment was disappointing. But less disappointing then the several attempts by fans to create the space quest 7 without the express permission of the sierra corp. Darn you sierra. Darn you straight to heck. ;)

I believe it was called Four Horsemen. I looked pretty awesome and I think would have come out on PS2.

Dungeon Keeper 3.

If you haven't played Dungeon Keeper 1 or 2 I highly suggest you check them out. You might have to torrent them at this point since they are so old.

Don't bother with "Dungeon Keeper Online". It's just another example of EA disrespecting gaming.

The Saboteur 2.
I'm assuming Pandemic Studios would make a sequel to such an awesome game. They were also making a Dark Knight game... could have been great, but probably not.

Oni 2.

I really liked Oni, this game did so much right (from good combat mechanics to reasonable balance between guns and melee combat). Too bad there was never even the idea of a sequel.
Well, now that Bungie is no longer obligated (or even allowed) to continue making Halo games, you have hope.

Jade Empire 2 and KOTOR 3 come to mind. Jade Empire 2 more so, because while I enjoy the original, I can't help but feel that it would be infinitely better with some updated graphics and gameplay.

Techincally not valid to your rules in that they haven't been announced but;
Won't someone pick up the Arcanum license. *Does puppy dog eyes at Todd Howard*
Also why can't they make a modern Secret of Mana game, seriously guys get on it.

Tiberium looked sick.

Now that I look at it, its like if Battlefield 2142 met Dead Space 2. An FPS that allows you to command an army RTS strategy? Sounds like fun, I hate RTS's usually but with the ability to actually participate in the battle with the army you commanded, holy crap does that sound fun.

All the games that Westwood was making till EA said "Nope we don't like our fans don't make awesome games, fuck it we're putting you in the trash bin we'll make them ourselves"

Then C&C3 and CNC4 happened :<

Elite 4, hell I'm not sure if it ever existed, but a much less buggy, modern, more alive version of Frontier First Encounters would be amazing. Think Eve, but in our galaxy, with Newtonian physics, actual combat and fully detailed planets which you can approach from the edge of the solar system, see cities from orbit and land on. But alas, realistic space games have fallen by the wayside, or they all centre around fictional galaxies and jump gates :(

Also for nostalgia purposes -

FFE had far FAR better graphics, and the planets were massively more impressive, but the intro to Frontier was just astonishing as a kid in 1993!

I forgot about that game. I was ready to preorder it and then I heard it was cancelled
