All of the Soul Reaver games. All of them...all of them into a fiery pit!

Blood Omen was a masterpiece of gaming, story, and voice acting. Then it all got weird and silly with that hideous blue raisin and his dub floppy hands.

*roar*
THE FUCK YOU SAY, BRUH!? YOU WANNA START SOMETHIN'!?
Nah, just kiddin'. I still gave the series one of the coolest boss battles, though.

As for me, I'd say The Third Birthday, but I expected this from FF XIII's writer. I got nothing against Toriyama, but he needs to direct something better than Crisis Core, as much as I liked that.
*look at your icon*

*narrows his eyes*

*growls*

Youuuuuu! *points* You took the series away from Kain! You made all cute with your flipper arms and little raisin body! You messed up a tight narrative with overused time travel (it was only used sparingly in blood omen) and chronoplast and making vampires all gross and slimy and horrid!

I blame you! *throws pie*

*takes deep breath*

((Disclaimer: Just having fun no harm intended. ^_^ But I will say I do sometimes feel weird for hating Soul reader as much as I do...everyone seems to love it so much. I can't understand why. It's like when I mention that I never ever liked that Firefly show and people want to murder me for it o_O.))
No big, and you have to admit, fighting half a boss battle as Kain and the other half of Raziel was pretty cool.

Dante's Inferno. Took a AAA title's gameplay (God of War), made it too easy, made the scenery bland after the third level, gave up on the next-to-last and made the game an arena fighter, oh yeah and ruined its source material. If you want a further rant on that last point, quote me. Otherwise, I won't wall-o-text you.

Ok I'll confess that was pretty cool. However if any series could stand a re-boot it's Blood Omen. I'd love it if they redid the first game with this gen graphics but kept the narrative and voice acting intact. Then redid Blood Omen 2 and kept the story going while completely omitting the Soul Reaver storyline.

Sometimes I feel like...well..that not really how the story was suppose to go. I often wonder what the original writers had planned for it...

Ar Tonelico Qoga and Hyperdimension Neptunia. As someone who played FFXIII and stopped in 30 minutes due to the entire spectrum of problems hitting nearly immediately I can easily say with no hesitation that Hyperdimension Neptunia is the WORST RPG I've ever played in my entire life. Awful controlls, horrid boring level design, a battle system that has so many stupid flaws its pathetic. It's borrowed from Trinity universe which had it's fair share of problems but it got worse here when the developers basically said "Hey you know what we should do for the combat? Slow it down to 33% speed of course! It's perfect!" Seriously I'm not kidding it's the same system but slowed down to awfulness. Then of course the characters. I doubt any character in existence can be more annoying then Neptune. If I was in that game I would have put her head in a blender within seconds. I couldn't stand this game for 2 hours and I was trying to like it because I like the publisher but that was still way too much time for this piece of shit.

Ar Tonelico wasn't as bad but that's still not much since it was awful and for that to be the last game in a once great series is nothing short of building a monumental middle finger with "I fucked your mom" written on it. The great battle system was removed so they could make it 3d and real time which wasn't bad in itself until the controls were made. Not to mention your ally AI is non existent so it's essentially turn based in real time(as weird as that sounds). They will always run up and get themselves near murdered every battle and boss so you essentially fight for a bit then use a heal then fight then heal. The presentation is ungodly awful and for a game based entirely on SINGING many of the story songs are brain bleachingly terrible. Then of course the sexuality. If you had 3d editing software you could easily take the dialog from this game and make your own porno. I'm not even joking. There's a 2 minute scene where you have to remove a magic crystal from someone that ended up in me turning the volume down to its lowest setting(aside from mute). It's nothing but a female moaning while innuendos are being said like "It's so warm in you", "Don't stop now or it will be all for nothing", and of course my favorite "It's too tight to pull out of you." I actually beat this one because I like the series and wanted to see how it wrapped up. Turns out I didn't really care at the end because I hated everyone anyway.

Two awful games in a row from that publisher. Shame on NIS America. I wish I had my $120 back.

Front Mission Evolved and Resident Evil 5

The game fucking ruined the series

and Possibly throw in Resident Evil 4 into it along with the Prince of Persia from 08
Quite enjoyed Front Mission: Evolved
So did my mate, who usually only buys AAA quality games
That guy who kept referring to your character by his full name pissed me off though..."Dylan Ramsey!"
I was a fan of the games from way back when its just the whole change and making it play like armered core just pissed me off and the fact it was so damn short without a great sotry or anything. Glad you and your mate enjoyed it tho

I cant stand growing up with a game series and then them doing a 360 in how it plays it just duesnt go well with me.

Fallout 1 and 2.
Just old.

Yeah, the choices where great, no doubt, but the game itself was not good.

I'm sorry to disappoint, but run-on sentences don't help to prove your argument. ;)

*ahem*

I would say Devil May Cry 3 for its frustration... but I just love the series too much anyway. Even though the plot execution fails. xD

Final Fantasy XIII. Sure, I don't mind linearity, hell, Final Fantasy X was equally linear. I don't mind the paradigm shifting (actually, I kinda liked it, as it allowed me to switch strategies instantly). I didn't mind controlling only one character, as the AI was competent enough to take action, depending on the roles they played. And the four things that royally pissed me off to no end was:

1 - Vanille. I hated playing as her when I was forced to, and next to Hope, was easily the most annoying character in any Final Fantasy I have played.

2 - No world map. In its stead, we have these weird teleport things, and each of them were a long ways away from each other. Even worse is that I had to unlock them by beating a boss that was tied to the teleport.

3 - Instant game over if the character I'm "controlling" dies. Dunno why Squeenix decided this was better than allowing the player to use one of the other characters to revive the fallen one. Probably because they felt like being dicks to us.

4 - This isn't a JRPG. It's a J-Adventure. The player has as little a role in this game as someone watching a movie. That's what this game is basically: a movie with more unlikable characters than a romantic comedy. This game was slightly worse than WET, and in that game the protagonist was a total **** who killed a small army of total dicks.

Far Cry 2 I guess. I wouldn't necessarily cast it into the pits of hell, but it certainly didn't meet my expectations.

Although the worst piece of shit I remember playing was Seven Samurai 20XX (PS2). I had to force myself to finish even the first two levels, which in total took me around ~20min. After that I took it out of the machine and never played it again. Actually I'm pretty sure I threw it away soon after that. I'm glad I didn't pay more than a few bucks for it.

Does proper grammar mean anything to you, lordlillen?
OT: Probably Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). I played it and beat it and I felt terrible. I didn't feel any kind of success from beating it. Just me, and that game still in my 360 and knowing I wasted about a week trying to beat it.

Dragon Age 2.

Only because of the description you put up; the game itself isn't as bad as I feel like it is, but the combination of everything bad about it far outweighs the good. When I pre-ordered it, I thought it looked pretty awesome, and would be similar to DA:O. When I got it, I popped it in and immediately started feeling that something was off. By the time I was running errands to collect gold so I could get more money I knew something was off. I gave it a chance to get better, and hoped that it did, but by the end of the first act I realized that I was never going to leave that city, and I was stuck repeating the same dungeons over and over again. At that point, I felt like a Kansas farmboy who has no hope of ever moving up (or even sideways) in life.

Edit: Honorable mentions go to Black Ops and Fable 3.

If you don't mind expanding this out to movies as well, I would also like to toss in the Star Wars prequels.
