what kind of games do you have to play to be hardcore? can you be hardcore if you just play games that are concidered to be "casual" or is it realy about how much time you put in?

Battletoads is the only hardcore game that ever existed. If Megaman was a game, it would be included in there too, but no, games are FUN, games aren't supposed to make you want to throw your console out the window, throw a gas can over it and set it on fire.
On the other hand, pretty much any game that you can also manually adjust can become a hard core game. Try passing Halo 1,2 and 3 on legendary without firing a single bullet or using grenades (unless it was impossible to do so, like sniper levels).

Interesting. I always thought of HARDCORE as something that only extreme expertise could resolve.
