What games in 2010 will fall flat?

i'd laugh if those three end up being some of the best games of 2010

alan wake seems interesting, army of 2 looks fun .. and i can't wait to see what new ideas for stealth actions splinter cell might have

Plus in my eyes:

-Halo:Reach = Bungie has been wanting to move on for a while now so yeah.
-Spinter Cell = getting tired of this mediocre stealth game.
-Army of Two = look kids another MW genre shooter with gimp masks...>>
-Mag = tried the demo which is so bland.
-Dark Void = Unfortunately, because I love the look.

EDIT: I'm surprised a couple of people have mentioned SC: Conviction - I've seen almost nothing but high expectations from old fans of the series and genuine excitement. It's also made by Ubi Montreal who are:

a) Great developers

and

b) Responsible for SC1 and Chaos Theory (the best ones)

Since 1 and 3 are the best so far I feel physicists and mathematicians of all levels of merit will agree with me when I say that the 5th will be f*cking amazing as it is the 5th game, thereby continuing the unbreakable rule that has been set: every odd-numbered SC game must be brilliant.

I am a mathematician and an aerospace engineer (at least by degree if not by profession) and I am skeptical that the new system will work. Many of the things they are bragging about I do not like and hope there are options to turn off such as the silhouette of your last seen location. I have faith that they will not botch it up or i shall be very sad. I bought a 360 for this game back when it was supposed to come out at holiday 2007 and have been waiting 2 years for this.

Sure, not every MMO was as much of a raging success as WoW was(Well...none of them were actually), but I wouldn't classify them as failures.

Anyway, MAG, despite everything that makes it a pretty damn good game, is going to go unrecognized because people can't see past the graphics.

IDK, I don't trust a genre (mmos) that only has one game in the last 5 years dominate it the way it has.

If you ask me MMOs are an overambitious idea stuck with cliche gear grinding and fetch quests.

Its over ambitious, the open betas been dubbed shit although I couldn't call that yet cause I deleted it after waiting 15 FUCKING HOURS FOR IT TO REACH 80%. What games do you think will fuck it up?

As long as it doesn't screw anything up that was in Fallout 3, it can't be that bad.

I don't really think it'll be bad, but I doubt ME2 will live up to its hype more than 60%.

Well I've spent a good 5 years playing a lot of MMOs on and off.

And my conclusion is the genre just sucks....piss poor repetitive gameplay 99% of the time, retarded AI, and mind numbing grinding.

I've talked to a lot of older MMO players and to them the genre sounded like what it really was was a glorified chat room....which sounded awesome from their words.

MMOs are cliched water down single player RPGs produced for the masses just not worth the effort....especially since WoW bringing in the Epeen driven years...0o


I think SW:tor will be a not so bad single player game with good story..we're talking about Bioware here...with an element of MMOs having other players around.

But as for an MMO, it needs to retain a player community which just isn't happening in MMOs anymore.
