Dude, we need a path with a female Hisao and Misha. I mean most of the Shizune story just got me more interested in Misha anyway.saintdane05 said:Why isn't there a Kenji path in Katawa Shoujo (not counting the insta death one.)? I wanted a gay sex scene, damnit!
Damn, I'm like that with a lot of things. Especially when it comes to games. I've got a lot of "friends" (I like them, most of the time) in school who sometimes just make me want to punch them. They think they're the most amazing gamer ever, who knows of every single game in the world. I said to them if they knew Kojima, Suda51 or even fucking Miyamoto and every time they went "Dunno, bet it's some stupid shit!".Vkmies said:When people don't know essential names in the film industry. I almost get violent. And with the increasing ignorance of the new generations, I bump into these kinds of people fairly often. It really, really grinds me.
I have the same, but less with games, because I think they are not yet pieces of common knowledge everyone should have.ToastiestZombie said:Damn, I'm like that with a lot of things. All I felt was rage.
I'm not a film buff, and I admit that. But even I know who the greats are. Mostly through Cinemassacre though. But I do know a lot. But yeah, people who openly say they know a lot about a subject and then when someone actually DOES come up and ask them about the subject they don't know about it. You aren't a film buff if you've never heard of Kubrick or Hitchcock. I wouldn't even consider someone one if they didn't know about Scorsese, Tarantino, the Coen brothers or Miyazaki.Vkmies said:I have the same, but less with games, because I think they are not yet pieces of common knowledge everyone should have.ToastiestZombie said:Damn, I'm like that with a lot of things. The reason why I am like that more with movies is that most people I like to talk to say they like movies. Some even say they love movies. They talk about movies they like, they hate. The amount of rage I feel when a person like that doesn't know Kubrick or Hitchcock is something out of this world. I think AT LEAST those two people should be familiar to everyone over the age of like 12. Haven't stopped me from meeting people over 40 who don't know Kubrick, which baffles me. People who remember the massive amounts of news and controversy about Clockwork Orange or the massive amounts of media about his death. Drives me crazy.
Oh thank Christ, someone who GETS it.King of Asgaard said:Totally agree.Leemaster777 said:So, we've all got things we love. Fandoms, as it was. But, in every fandom, there are things that we'd... rather not acknowledge. Bad sequels, bad prequels, bad adaptations, bad characters, bad stories, etc.
Basically, what is that ONE thing you hate about something you love?
Well, for me, I've got two that spring to mind. As much as I love Final Fantasy X, there is one aspect of it that makes my blood boil. I think all of you will probably see this coming:

Really don't want to go into an entire rant about this, but the short version is, this game makes me want to punt a kitten.
FF X-2 completely ruined the ending, which was poignant to the point of reducing me to tears, and proceeded to demolish everything that made FF X so good.
Let's go punt that kitten together, shall we?
