What guitars and amps do you have?

My guitar is an ESP LTD EX-400. And I love her.

I also own an Epiphone SG in cherry red, and an Ibanez acoustic.

I use a Roland Cube 30X, mainly because I'm too poor to afford an upgrade yet. I used to us a Marshall 15CD before the Roland though.

And I would just like to say, I am envious of your collection OP.

Ahh thank you! Wow, really like your LTD, how well does it play?

It plays perfectly; I've had it for over 2 years and haven't even considered getting another guitar.
It's really diverse too; I can use it for so many styles and it fits perfectly. Even if it looks a bit out of place sometimes; Metal - it fits, blues - not so much lol
It's got active EMG pick-ups, so it's got so much power. Only problem is I get through a fair few batteries :p

Oh awesome. I was looking into getting the natural finish version not so long ago! One reason I bought my ESP was its Seymour Duncans, they sound so fantastic. Very versatile too.

Yeah, I like Seymour Duncans too. I've not got any guitars with them, but I've tried them out before.
When I got my LTD, it was a toss up between white or black, but being a Metallica fan, black made so much more sense. Though, if I could have got the natural finish version, I definitely would have!
Overall, it'd definitely recommend it if you're looking to expand your collection in the future.

White Gibson Explorer. Very easy to use I find. My mate didn't want it because he wanted an upgrade.

Actually on-topic I would love to play the Gibson SG imitation I have in the attic but according to my old guitar teacher, "my fingers don't bend properly so I can't hit chords fast enough." So disheartend I turned my back to music until I discovered Guitar Hero. No where near the real thing, but it'll do for me.
you stopped playing because of a teachers opinions? .... it doesnt matter that you might not be as good at chords, you might learn other things, infact, thats a bad teacher, because getting good with chords takes constant practice, just like when you dont play a game for ages you wont be as familiar with it.
You speak the truth. I was trying to teach one of my friends who's never played before some chords, and she couldn't do it (she said her hands are "too small"). So I showed her some non-chord playing and she picked that up in no time.
And as you say, chords take a lot of time & practise to master at first.

I don't have a guitar, I have a mandolin!

Haven't played it at all for around a year now, though.

I have a black Gibson Explorer, and a few lesser guitars not worth mentioning. The Explorer took me forever to get but it's one of my favorite things I own.

As for amps, I have a Line 6 Spider II, and I love both of those to death.

Oh god, I can't imagine using 81s/85s (assuming those are your pickups being as they're like the standard EMG's) along with a bunch of pedals, you'd need to buy nine volts like every week.

I play a Jackson SL3 through a Mesa Boogie Lonestar, which is some pretty beastly tone.

I own the following:
  • Michael Kelly Patriot Custom in sunburst
Jackson Dinky with EMG Pickups in black
Squier Telecaster, black with a white pickguard.
    A Yamaha acoustic
    A 1964 Levin acoustic

In terms of amps, I only own a 10 watt Fender and a 15 watt Marshall, although they suffice for my needs, and all 3 times I've performed on a stage I was mic'd up through the PA system, so I was more than loud enough.

Oh, and I have a banjo. I'm still trying to learn to play it.

In my eyes, a Gibson Explorer is one of the coolest guitars ever produced. James Hetfield anyone?

I have a few cheapish guitars that I got when I started playing, but for the past three years I've been playing a Jackson RR3. Amp wise I'm still using my wee starter one... I keep saying I'll go get another, but I usually play my guitar without the amp so I haven't gotten round to getting a new one :p

Any suggestions for a nice amp would be nice since the subject is around though :D

My rig consists of a 1995 Fender Mexican Fat Strat Custom, black with a pearloid black pickguard and vanity knobs, which I have dubbed "The Stratoblaster", An Ibanez RG5EX1, an MT-2 Metal Zone pedal by BOSS, a Delta Labs Chorus pedal, and a Dunlop Crybaby Wah all hooked up to a old 120w Crate 2x12
