My birthday was the day of the world trade center bombing.

So today is June 6th. Its my birthday.

Those of you who know youre 20th century history, or have seen Tom Hanks single handedly save France, and Ryan, you'll remember that June 6th marks the day in which France was re-invaded by the good guys on D-Day, in which 12,000 allied soldiers lost thier lives.

So: What happened on your birthday in history?

That is, of course, something other than your birth.
George Washington was born. Do I win? 'cause I feel like I should win

May 12... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_12

Lots of bad stuff seemed to happen, at least from the Wikipedia entry.

On the plus side, I share a birthday with George Carlin, Ving Rhames, Tony Hawk, Vanessa Williams, and Stephen Baldwin.

In the actual year I was born, 1982, here's what happened:

During a procession outside the shrine of the Virgin Mary in Fátima, Portugal, security guards overpower Juan Fernandez Krohn before he can attack Pope John Paul II with a bayonet. Krohn, an ultraconservative Spanish priest opposed to the Vatican II reforms, believed that the Pope had to be killed for being an "agent of Moscow".

David Thaxton, English actor and singer, and Darren Williams, American basketball player, were born.

My birthday sometimes falls on Mother's Day.

There was a huge earthquake in china that killed like 70,000 people on my birthday a few years ago.

George Carlin was born on my birthday as well, so that's neat.

Well, uh, this is awkward but Justin Bieber was born on my birthday (though he's a year older).

Also Stalin had a stroke.

Oh look at that, Kesha was born on March 1 too. Must be the day for crappy late '00s/early '10s pop stars.

My home city (Perth Western Australia) is always incredibly unbearably hot on Febuary. My birthday, Febuary 23rd 1991 was heralded as being the hottest day in Perth on record. At least at that time (for all I know it's gotten hotter since then)
