What happened to the movie articles?

Every who does movies has been fired. Bob got fired a little over a year ago. In his wake there was Firefilm and Marter, both of whom were recently shitcanned by the site with 80% of the other content contributors.

Seems like GoodBadFlicks is the only movie person left here - and to think there's still a Movie heading on this site. At least he's still around - but for how long?!

Cecil will probably be around for a good while. If worse comes to worse, he's got a huge YouTube following, so he could just head back there. In fact, his following was why he got hired to this site in the first place. I like him, he's way more fun and positive on movies. And even if he's reviewing a new movie in theaters that he didn't like (new film reviews are always on his YouTube account), he doesn't go out of his way to insult people who might enjoy the show, unlike a certain film reviewer that used to work here. Plus, he actually goes out and does it research and just makes wild claims or distributing false rumors.

I thought the lay offs were an april fool's joke.

I was surprised they pulled all of the defy media videos they usually post simultaneously on youtube: I really liked coming here for my honest trailers and man at arms fix. Rather than jump on the doom train, I will voice the opinion that this is basically a result of some restructuring and that we'll likely get more content once they are done shuffling everything around. I wonder what the old founder, Macris, makes of all of this.

I suspect some of this downturn has been a result of gamergate. I'm still glad the escapist went the way it did, but I think we all underestimated the fallout. I hadn't realized the internet rage machine fueled so much of the news, nor did I realize the news sites would do so much to protect that outrage machine.

Also, just because I feel like being that guy: screw bob and sterling: those guys are just massive hypocrites with no integrity. Just two more outraged bobble heads.
