What would happen if you put a portal inside of another portal? What would the end result look like?

To illustrate my point:

..phrase utterance in 3...2...1....

Seriously..I think a black hole would result where the portals meet. Since one would constantly be appearing in the other..I can't help but thing that a deep gravity suction would develop.

I just think there would be a portal in a portal, I don't actually think anything weird would happen. Maybe if the other portal was just floating in mid air, but the block means it's probably Ok.

Yeah, Galts' right.
Physics doesn't care for his relationship with his electronic poser 'Havok' anyways.

I thought about that...

Get two portal guns, shoot one at parallel walls, and then fire both second shots at the opposite gun's portal.
Would it be a spatial displacement hula-hoop?

I also wonder what would happen if you put some kind of object in the intersection of where the two portals meet.

Can someone run this through the Source engine and tell us what happens?

Well, you'd walk through it at an angle, and fly out the other two sides and hyper speed, liquifying mid-air.
Liquifying in mid-air, or liquifying mid-air?

The second one sounds cooler.

No actually nothing would happen out of the ordinary. A portal is stuck to a surface you stick another portal on that surface and wala! Your now stuck between the two portals. pretty much you'll die of starvation not the world.

Wouldn't it mean that mid air becomes liquid, meaning your particles go so fast that the state of air seems to be liquid?

No your not sound, If the air was liquidifyed you would be slowed by the increase mass you would have to push to move. Liquidifying in midair means you would melt which is fun :)

I actualy had a 3-D glitch poster someone made of what would happen, but my harddrive crashed, and I don't have it anymore. Anyway, infinite loop is the answer.

Well it might not be a infinite loop. Because the portal must be on a surface they arn't two sided so you would be stuck between the two
