What happens when game developers disagree?

I'm aware of the fact that game development is a collaborative effort, so I imagine that it's necessary for ideas to be heard out and people to find something everyone agrees on and use it
But in an industry full of people who want so bad to use their OWN ideas, I'm sure it's inevitable that people bash heads.
What exactly happens when several people disagree about how a game should be done? Have there been actual fights (non-physical, of course) between people? How is the problem resolved??

The question just popped in my head and I'm really curious. Thanks in advance. :D

I'd imagine the leadership makes a decision based on the options available. Hopefully from objective cost-benefit analysis, but I wouldn't be surprised if personal favourites played into it at times.

Yeah, it's a team effort but there is bound to be a boss. If people can devote a little time to a concept and make it sound plausible then chances are the boss says yes. If not then it would just be added to the wishful thinking/save it for another project list.

That being said if they are passionate enough i imagine there have been fights like in every other job.
