"What have you done today?"

It's the holidays, my parents come home from work, and I am asked that dreaded question.... "What have you done today?" I want to answer "I played PS2, Wii, watched TV and a film... etc etc", but obviously they don't care, so I say "nothing" which understandably still irritates them.

I'd like to point out, like probably a vast amount of you on here, I'm pretty good at doing "nothing", and mostly want to just stay indoors. My siblings both got jobs to stave off the boredom of holidays, but I've never felt the need.

So my question is this, what do YOU do to keep yourself entertained in the house on a free day or in the holidays? Or are you incapable of keeping yourself entertained?

For me, I've got a couple of games and TV series on the go simultaneously, I watch a film every other day or so, sport on the TV which I flick in and out of, I'll periodically read a book and listen to my music while on the net (like now).

I played Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for a while. I posted here a bit more. I talked with friends. I'm currently watching baseball, and in about 20 minutes I'll be heading off to soccer.

So basically, Video Games + Sports + Friends + The Escapist is how I keep myself entertained.

I spent a couple hours with my brothers we went for a laaaverly pie and mash, tried some jelly eels too (not so much laaaverly).

One of them still lives at home so I still see him day-to-day but my other brother I very rarely see so when we all spend time together its very good.

But today I went to LARP practice with some friends and then we went for a meal. Today was a good day. (And by today, I mean yesterday 'cause its 01:45 in England )

Play video games, listen to music, watch silly videos on the internet, read forums, talk to people on msn, check out the news, teach myself something, go shoot hoops outside, play with my cat, bounce around the house on one of those big yoga balls(everyone should have one of these, even if you hate yoga, they're fricking awesome!), read a book, watch anime, and think about super serious stuff inside my head. To put it bluntly, I am awesome at entertaining myself ^_^.

My daily dose of Facebook, watched TV, studied a bit of chemistry for an exam next week and maybe I will get around playing Tales of Monkey Island which I recently bought.

Today is one of the days in the week when I don't have to go to classes or nothing, so I stay locked down in my house... "yay confinement!!"

I woke up at 1:00, yelled at my brother to pick up some milk, watched half of Return of the King, and played Morrowind until the game crashed for some mysterious reason. Now I'm here.

Pretty normal day overall.

Girlfriend, friends, games, guitar, music, tv, films, books, internet, cinema, football, gym cycling etc. Also this summer, watching the World Cup.

I wouldn't lump myself into a category of not wanting to do things. Most of my gaming goes on at night, like right now (1.47a.m.) so I'm generally free during the day. Days by myself I'll do everything mentioned above, obviously bar the first two things.

I've tried looking for a job, not to 'stave a boredom' sadly, but for a desperate need for money to pay for university this September. No joy, but it leaves me free to enjoy my first jobless summer in 5 years.
