Jeez, it's been one day and all the new year threads have disappeared? Anyways, have you learned in 2009 so far?

I'll start. When my parents said that we'd be working all day today, they meant that. I've been at their office for the past 14? or so hours, and we're still not done with work. -_-

And yet you're procrastinating on forums?

Women can always surprise you. And there are good people to be found everywhere, even if your just willing to go up randomly and hug them.

So yeah, good and bad things.

That having regular backups of your machine is not such a bad idea at all. Luckily microsoft recovery thingy managed to restore everything. Only downside is that I have to update it all again. Meh.

Never spend fifty dollars on leisure books as a means of making yourself feel better.

Women are extremely good at doubletalking.

I have to get training to wear a type of armor?!

Chivalry is very much a dead, broken horse.

And last but not least, the Force is not an indestructible entity.

Certain people still won't message me back on MySpace. Even though it's been two days since she's read the fricking message!

Fire is not edible.

Okay, no, that's not my lesson. I guess...

Trying to provide therapy when you have no by the book experience is especially difficult.

Okay, not the least obvious, but I don't learn much over a span of 23 hours and 40 minutes.

*ahem*... But, yeah, fire really isn't edible.

Never ever do a full drive copy to your c:\ drive. My friend did that and he fucked his computer over, the Windows folder is empty and many of his files are corrupt.

Making up with an ex can be one of the best feelings in the world. Especially when you were with her for two and a half years.

I've also learned that not having someone to share the new years with is the worst feeling in the world. Especially when everyone else in the house has someone to spend it with.

Some hotels have horrible security.

Group hugs are awesome.

Some people know more about me than I thought.

Aye, power armor is a tad unwieldy. Just be glad you didn't spend three hours searching for the bailey before realizing it was in the middle of the courtyard all along.

My lessons so far are as follows:

Watch out for exploding baby carriages and computer terminals.

Listening to the Llama song on a loop for almost three hours straight really starts to mess with you. Seriously, I'm not feeling all here at the moment.

When dogs bark, smile. Do not throw stones.
